MBB custom Bowie with Sawback and serrated bowie tip. 9 inch blade. CPM-3V steel.

This is an awesome blade. These guys make very very hard use weapons.

Some serious looking steel you have there. Couple there look like some wicked choppers.

That what's called a katana on the left? Just read yesterday about a guy in Argentina who used one to chop the crap out of some wanna be thugs trying a home invasion. One had a pistol. Katana guy mowed thru them with much blood spilled. Thugs arrested later at the hospital trying to get stitched up.

Ready for the zombies. :)

Neat looking stuff but it is kinda like Harley-Davidson, not really my style. Looks like it would be fun to own, though. I could chase my cat with it!

No offense to the maker, but it kinda looks like the 1000 other sawback fantasy blades around

Don't blame the maker, blame the customer - that's a custom piece.
It isn't my style, and I tend to agree with some of the above comments; but if the OP likes it, then MBB succeeded.
My opinion of that piece aside - I'm a fan of their work, and own several of their knives. I'm glad to see that they're working with other steels now, and they've stepped up their G10 game quite a bit since they started.

These guys make very very hard use weapons. They are players in the big leagues and I know because I own some very big league steel :D:D:p

Not a hater here......if what is pictured in your photo is your "very big league steel".....it's a matter of perspective. To some you would have "big league steel"....to me...you have a bunch of Busse knives and some other stuff....it's lower mid-level knives...they are very nice at what they do.

I myself have the Badger Attack, a Tom Krein modded SUS Scrofa, a Thick NICK, a Ratweiler and the Swamp Rat folder....but none of them are "big league steel"....to me...they are nice using knives.

A Michael Walker Zipper Blade lock is "big league steel"....I think those are right around 100k at this point.....like I said....matter of perspective.

If you like what you have, cool....but there is ALWAYS someone who has a bigger, better toy box. To those wealthy enough to collect "very" important katana, the Zipper Blade Lock is a nice using knife.

Food for thought.

Best Regards,

STeven Garsson

Thanks for posting the pics. The new Bowie is not my particular style (everybody is different, right. I'm just not a big serrations guy), but it looks like it is made well and I like the looks of the integrated guard. I will take a look at MBB if I can find them on the inter webs. Nice overall collection. Really like some of those knives (and hatchets).

It is very hard to take Rambo inspired blades seriously. IMHO just because you own what you consider high end steel doesn't mean that you know shit about steel. I own a bunch of super steel custom and mid techs but I don't know much about fine knives.

Very nice for sure. But some of us who were excited by this style of knife 33 years ago
aren't now. Great photos thanks.

Congrats and enjoy. I'm in the BladeScout "Meh" camp. In my opinion. Looks balanced to be a chopper, not a fighter, and if its a chopper...why have a sawback?

As far as your expertise, you certainly do own some big steel....ever used any of it? Those coatings and finishes look pristine.

I'm not going to give my opinion on this one, but I would just say (next time) when you post something like this at least add "...in my opinion" to the title. This is a bad mofo knife... in my opinion. it leaves less to be criticized. In someone elses opinion, it's just not... as you've probably noticed.

Its pathetic and embarrassing that all you wanted to do was share your excitement, and were rewarded with more negative input and attempts to "school" you than anything else. Jesus, its not like you posted a BudK BOGO special.

Maybe i don't have the whole story. Did you run over everyones puppies this morning. Or ???

Congrats you got a blade you like. MBB are the FECES. I train with a guy who owns 2. Prolly get a custom at some point myself, so i can get a thinner blade.

Put up some use pics too. Its always cool to watch big blades destroy stuff.
