Also, if you have it because you like it, and it doesn't really serve a purpose, how is that any different then people who have high end knives that stay in the safe and never get use?

^^^^^^ This all day long...

I've never seen these knives/tools before I'm curious what the katana type blade is on the very left, and the long two handed knife/sword is in the very middle? Excuse my ignorance of parlance :-p

It's all good dude... I wasn't trying to imply a lack of performance on MBB, just didn't think it could match how the Busses had exceeded my expectations vs other blades in similar steels, especially with not having heard any real world usage stories on MBB. Still it's unfair for me to assume having not used both first hand.

I do a lot of clearing and splitting with mine and am surprised with how rarely I need to touch them up considering the abuse I put them through... I know there's more to bushcraft than that, but that's what I use the big blades for. I have smaller blades for skinning, dressing game, fileting, etc.

I think it's a little thicker, but a Busse MOAB would be pretty close to the specs you gave. I have the slightly shorter MOABolo which is an amazing chopper. I'd love to see a chop off between the two brands actually.

Sorry to derail the thread slightly... Cappy- want to get the MBB and Busse's dirty and test it out for us? :D

Its all good. Thread got derailed after the first comment..haha...Ill try to set something up with the two brands. I think the miller bros put out a lot of videos demonstrating the strength of their knives which is a big reason I like their stuff. Ill see what I can do.

Katana like sword is the Busse AK-47. and the other sword is The Miller Bros MBB-2. check them out. great blades IMO

I want to stress, these are not big league steel knives though. do not be fooled. These are more like College Intramurals league knives. I love them though, because when it comes down to the reason I own them, they will do the job and then some. However, you will not be able to defeat the Crazy 88 gang with these. You will need some better custom stuff with higher price tags. :) (sorry that last part wasnt directed at you, just taking a cheap shot at some of the other posts)

The one on the left is a Busse AK47, the long 2 hander is a Miller Bros M2

Wow I really am in disbelief of all the disgustingly negative comments regarding the OP's own personal little pleasure in life, who fucking cares if it is "shit"? Do you all really have nothing better to do? Hell, im still real new to knives and I don't know about the Maker of these tools here and I kinda was interested in asking to get clued up and learn some more like I enjoy to do on this forum but I really was thrown off, derailed by all the negative shit I just read

Hey guy, this is a family site. So, how's about we calm that language down? Thanks.

lol, BDSM is actually a VERY broad term that covers many things. Most of what you see online is not what the BDSM community is all about lol. But I won't go into that here. haha.

The page just kept going and going... what has been seen can never be unseen.
Thank goodness we have a dryer because I will never be able to look at clothes pins as
harmless objects ever again.

I think the sawback on OP's knife would be perfect for your needs Cadillac. Assuming you change
from villain to super hero at your next "get together" and decide to set them free!!!

My intent wasn't trying to set an "I, better than you thread". I thought that's what forums were for. Showing off new pieces..my bad.

I'm ok if the knives pictured aren't for everyone but what's the point of being on a knife forum and you can't playfully show off your collection?? Most people would prob just say, hey man nice collection.

I feel like you guys are attacking the OP because I set a tone. You read how you want to read the tone. My tone was playful. But if you are a an a-hole with a rotting soul then I guess you woukd read the post as arrogant and not playful. So it's in your best interest to let me have it. But that's what the emoticons are for. Tone interpretation. Right?

So, since we didn't get your childish humor you are going to call us names? Seems like many of us nailed your tone and style of posting perfectly.

I hope this is not the way you act in real life and this is just your internet speaking.

It can be, and a thick skin certainly is good. So please take this with your thick skin...it is meant as advice..,.

1) Is your knife, enjoy it.
2) "bad ass mofo" makes one sound like a 13 year old ninja and gets them treated accordingly
3) telling us what an expert you are in big league knives and then expecting people to decipher what your emoticons are supposed to imply doesn't work. The folks here read words.
4) Throwing out "hater" and "troll" immediately guarantees a mess.
5) If you ask for peoples' opinions, expect to hear them.
6) I think your knife is silly. But you really shouldn't care.
7) Enjoy your knife.

Sums it up perfectly.

Nothing like chastising others with a potty mouth. If you don't like hearing what other people say you can ignore it and ask your own question instead of being a potty mouth.

What I am saying is: If I write something on a post, the reader interprets how the author is feeling based on his own mood and assumptions. The emoticons are a way for people to express sarcasm, joking manners, disappointment etc in a world where only text exists. Im not sure what is hard to understand about that. The emoticons tell the reader what the author is trying to convey. However, if the author puts no emoticons in his post, the reader will not understand the intended sarcasm or tongue in cheek nature of the post.

for example: I am the greatest basketball star ever :D:p.
the emoticons would imply I am not the greatest and most would just shrug it off as humorous.

Therefore the reader's own horrible personality (ie maybe because he got into a fight with his lady that day, hates his job/life, or maybe his parents hit him a lot, or maybe he got beat up in school and hates the world, or like in your case maybe his pecker isn't up to par) so he lashes out with his emotions and reads the post as another chance to get back at all those guys who laughed him out of the locker room back in high school ( see what I did there with the childish manhood humor, pointing out you must have compensation issues). so to sum up, if you are an angry person, you might read something as if the person is as tainted as yourself...and that's why I put the emoticons out there and later defended myself..

cheers bro...suck it

Its pathetic and embarrassing that all you wanted to do was share your excitement, and were rewarded with more negative input and attempts to "school" you than anything else. Jesus, its not like you posted a BudK BOGO special.

Can't help but feel that if the OP posted a pic of the ZT dujour or the Bussee FLAMBAM in desert camo, all would be well in the BF world. We can't all like the same stuff, that would be mediocre and boring.

Best post of the thread! Where do I get a Bussee FLAMBAM? I've been wanting one of those for years!! Especially if it's in desert camo with a black blade, no one will be able to see me. EVER!!

OP, keep on loving the knives you love. Screw the haters, they're just going to hate on anything posted today.

I didn't think my comment would be so off putting. I don't really care what anyone has in their collection, we all like certain knives, and that's what I'm here to talk about...what interests me. If someone has similar tastes to me, then it looks like I just made a friend.

I'm sure if I started a "Blues Benders Badass Collection Thread", people would come in and say "cool", "what knife is that", "I have one too", etc... But why? Nobody asked me, so what makes me think I'm so important to have to start an entire thread about myself?

If you like a particular knife, cool! Maybe I do too, but start a makers appreciation thread... The OP seemed like he was trying to act like some big-shot because he got a new knife...

Like Kohai said:
"If you like what you have, cool....but there is ALWAYS someone who has a bigger, better toy box."

There's plenty of picture threads where I post the new knife I'm carrying. I feel that they fit there more appropriately, than in their own exclusive thread about me...

Okay, emoticons, I get it. But where were those in your title where you used the terms "mofo" and "sick"? You see these terms are often used by 13 year old mall ninjas when talking about their awesome new blade. It is of the opinion of many here these wanna be mall ninjas are a blight to this hobby and the world in general so when you acted like one you were treated like one. I am truly sorry if you are not what you are acting like but perhaps now could be a good life lesson for you to understand you will be treated in a way based on your behavior.

Oh, and using direct and personal insults to someone is not a good way to represent your self as an honest knife enthusiasts and decent human. So like I said before, it would seem my interpretation of you based on what you said is quite correct.

Yep, that's why I commented on your post. It had nothing to do with your attitude or that knife. It had nothing to do with the fact that that knife is one of the most mall-ninja-esque, unwieldy, impractical and poorly-designed knife I've ever seen. No, as you say, it's because I did in fact get in a fight with my lady that day. I do hate my job and my life - two for one package deal. My parents hit me every day with fantasy blades costing several hundreds of dollars. I got beat up in school by all the rich kids who could afford custom fantasy blades - I think Gil Hibbens was all the rage at that time. And yes, if you must know, my pecker wasn't up to par. All the other rich kids with the purebred chickens laughed me out of class when I brought my rooster to show-and-tell. Scrawny little thing. :D :D :D :D

Did you see those emoticons I used? That would imply that you should shrug off whatever I say as humorous. :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

But if you are a an a-hole with a rotting soul then I guess you woukd read the post as arrogant and not playful. So it's in your best interest to let me have it. But that's what the emoticons are for. Tone interpretation. Right?

How about this:

You think your knife is a bad, sick, 'mofo' knife? You own 'big league' steel? Okay. If you say so. :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Let's stay on topic folks.....enjoy your knives and please let others enjoy what they have. Civility people......or get smacked. I'm fine with either. :D <----- cute emoticon to defuse comments.

Disappointed in the way so many handled their reaction. Just seems like it would have been to painful to either walk away from it or simply make a polite comment. This kind of reaction is what drives people away from forums.
