Who Went to Oregon?? Post Your Booty!!

Up a little too late! Four of us took Chris from GEC out to dinner for her birthday! You all know her lovely handwriting, which is on the GEC tubes!!
Barlow madness this morning!! Several people showed up to latch onto a rare TC or three. A good time was had by all!!
Singin50, Old Bowie, Knowtracks and waynorth spent a couple of hours at our motel rehashing the day, and showing off our new purchases. Lots of stuff to post when we get home! I realize it's going by too fast!!
Good night all!
PS if anyone has Perry's cellphone number, can they PM it to me?
Thanks!!

Glad you guys are having fun.....

Table U-2! Go right when you enter the show, all the way to the end.
Then left, and I am the second table!
See you folks there, Caleb!

I definitely chatted with you today, but I couldn't remember your table number, so I didn't introduce myself. Whoops. I certainly had a lot of fun

Thanks for the updates (and the PM) Charlie, it's great to hear that you're all having such a great time :)

What a fabulous day! Thanks Charlie, Barry and Perry. Charlie and Barry for the TCs (one or three) and Perry for letting me tag along with you most of the day and for your most insightful dialogue and great knowledge about vintage folders. Charlie scored some beauts which I will allow him to elaborate about if he chooses. Nice to meet you Knowtracks and being able to put a face with a name. What a great interaction with other TC admirers at Charlie and Barry's table as the show opened filing our little mittens with TC gold! Thanks gentlemen for making this trip more than worth it just at your curb. With Perry's guidance and input able to score a couple of nice vintage folders. The fellowship of other traditional folder afficinados priceless. Sensory overload starring at such a great number and varaiable array of traditional and vintage folders. Some of the exhibits like one avid collector's Camillus exhibit and presentation was very outstanding and interesting. I think Perry Has some pictures he may post of this one. Well that's it for now more to follow. Day two just hours away although most of the damage to the wallet comitted within two hours of day one. Thanks for a great time my friends!

Lloyd

Sounds fun. Has anybody been taking pics? I would like to see that since I couldn't go.

Jealous! Seriously.....It's really good to hear of all those BF members getting together out west! No, really....jealous!

Great to see people got to mingle- Man I am so jealous!!!
I am looking forward to everyone showing what they managed to scoop up!

Did anyone get photos of this amazing event - or photos of tables etc- people meeting....anything??.... to try and bring in the atmosphere of the show to this Thread

Trying to capture the size of the show. 300+ tables. If you squint down row G you can see Charlie in his vest making a deal for a knife this morning.

I believe this display is a combo of Charlie's and Barry's. Best thing about it? When a barlow was purchased, Charlie would dip down into his deep bag of tricks and pull out a different one to put in its place.

Three esteemed gentlemen working the show, Barry, Dave, and Charlie. :D

Wow Caleb, you got some great shots my friend! It was a real pleasure to meet you at the TC waterfall on Saturday morning! That was quite a thing to behold, Charlie is always the surpriser!
Lloyd, it was a real treat to walk the show with you and look at so many vintage beauties! Our bags are all full now and my pics will be coming this next week, when I get the time to post them.
Charlie, Barry, Dave, Chris Tucker, from GEC, and others I met, thank you for your time and efforts in making this the best show I've ever attended!

Great photos Payton206, thanks for posting them! Looks like you had a good time, met some big kahunas, and came away with some exceptional knives. Congrats!

Thanks for the reports and pics that are rolling in. Really appreciate the efforts to share your experiences with those of us who could not attend. Can't wait to hear from everyone who was there about their experiences meeting up!

Caleb - thank YOU kind Sir for those fantastic photos - you are indeed a lucky guy to have got there - AND to have scored those lovely knives. Great to see!

It was a real pleasure to make your acquaintance, Derrick! Hope you can find a workable solution to using that cross-cut mammoth some day. 😀

Here's one of KSF's impressive display tables, by the way.
