Whoopee - GEC website shows #77 BLADE FORUM 2014 CLUB KNIFE is in production

I think you are mistaken good sir.

Yeah, but I get that out of the way early on and then enjoy watching everything else happen.

Still, I'm using last years knife on a regular basis; it's one of my favorites. And it's going to be very hard to find that pattern because nobody makes one.

It surprises me that GEC did not make variants of last year's knife. Be nice in bone for example.

As for this year's knife, it WILL get used, all the Forum Knives have seen active service.

I don't collect, if they don't get used they'll eventually get sold. This one will go in the pocket.

Will this be a user for most, or a collector and take it out only on occasion?

It's too nice to put away in a drawer. I could never resist the temptation. A user for sure! (And a Radio Jack or Charlow in the other pocket.) :)

I ordered two, so that I will have a user and a collector. I will definitely carry one of them for at least a month after receiving them, maybe longer. Still carrying last years congress jack once in a while.

I agree on that. I had so hoped they'd offer a Congress Jack in jigged bone of some sort.

As for this years knife - looks good so far. I'll have more to say on it when I get mine :)

User all the way.

With 300 being produced it will own the title for highest production numbers at GEC. It may also be one of the most desirable. My bet is there will always be knuts looking to pick one up.

man. finances fell through so i wasnt able to order (didnt vote this year either though)
and honestly it didnt blow my skirt up either

that being said, i am apparently bad at envisioning final products from sketches and concept drawings
cause it looks alot nicer than i ever envisioned.

so, for those of you who ordered one or more of these. I tip my hat to ya

I use all of mine, some more than others.

This one looks to get plenty of time in my pocket.

best

Can't wait for mine. Wish I had been able to buy a few more for my brothers.

This is definitely one of those knives that would make a great gift to almost any man. Something this pretty could even be appreciated by most women.

Looking at that picture, I have to say, I'm impressed by the blade-to-handle ratio.

And that shield is muy guapo!

Ladies and gentlemen, I have an annoucement to make!!! Tonight I received 7 large Priority Mail Boxes from GEC, and although I knew there would probably be a partial shipment of the 2014 BF knife, I had no idea I would get the ENTIRE SHIPMENT!!!! Unfortunately, my computer is down and I'm typing this on a 1/2gig laptop from the last eon. No photo capability, but I should get the 'brain' back tomorrow with any luck at all. (I wish I hadn't said that) Meanwhile, my shipping is also down, so keep yer coon fingers crossed that the computer stars align for me.

Man, the knife came out great! I couldn't help eyballin' a few just to get a general idea of the run, and I am impressed! Guys, they are sweet. I've been fondling the first one I opened and it has nicely matched stag that's not too thick or thin, sorta dished in the center of the scales, and better-than-average character. The joint is clean and square and flush at all stops. Very tight fit overall, and has a pull of about a six or so, not at all a nailbreaker. The threaded bolster and swedged clip blade are nice embellishments and not overdone. It has the PPP etch on the back of the blade, which is nicely centered and fits tightly in the frame.

I'll post photos as soon as I'm computer able, meanwhile I'll be "Chicken eye'n and coon fingerin'" this baby. Heck, she already made it to my pocket!

Sorry guys. No shipping for a few days. :-( Man, I know there are some friggin' fantastic scales in those boxes, and somebody's gonna get 'em! Good luck!!!

Was just about to go to bed. Didn't know it was going to have the PPP! That is just icing on the cake to me. Anyone wanna run over to Barry's with a super-computer for a week or so? :D

Barry - Thanks for the quick review and info!
