very happy to see this thread -- and the in-progress pics!
thanks again to Charlie & crew as well as GEC.

I'm calling dibs on that really cool looking one in the 3rd row from the front in the first photo.

I love that GEC is posting these pics for us, so nice to see them in progress. I cannot wait to see the first pic of a finished knife. This is the first time I've ordered a forum knife and it's been a fantastic experience so far, so much fun watching it come to fruition. I still cannot believe the deal we got for a stag handed knife, John Lloyd and Charlie rock for making this happen for all of us! Thank you!

I think I saw my two knife handles in those pictures.:D

I wonder about the distribution of the completed knives - is GEC going to ship directly to us or how is that going to be handled - Charlie or anyone??:)

For 2012 and 2013, ordering and shipping was handled through Spark's company. This time ordering was done through Charlie, I assume as part of the committee like in the years before 2012. In those years, they were all shipped to one of the committee members who then individually (or as ordered) sent them on to all who ordered in batches.

And I feel like its a lot of work when I ship more than 3 packages!

No kidding! I recently sold off a bunch of knives and had to prep 8 or so packages in one day and that seemed like a lot. I can only imagine the work involved to get 300 knives out to people.

I am with you there!:D

Thank you Trand - if the old saying holds true here - If it ain't broke, don't fix it - I suppose nothing will change.:)

By the looks of how things are progressing along there at GEC, it might not be so long before some start seeing these in their mail boxes.?:confused::)

Way back at the start of this project, Barry (Gunstock Jack) has offered to handle the shipping!
He is set up for this running his own business! My guess is the knives will ship straight to him and he will distribute them.
And Yes we ALL owe a debt of gratitude to Barry, John Loyd and Charlie. Perhaps we can remember that when we go to buy a new custom or production knife!;)

All Hail the 2014 Committee and volunteers! :D A monumental task, for sure.

I'm trying to imagine the GEC folks sitting around a pile of stag pieces trying to make matching pairs. That would be a fun, but tedious job.
