Yup. It fits perfectly into a KSF standard pocketslip.
Thank you very much for that comparison picture! It helped me out a lot. The 73 actually looks a bit bulkier at the bottom then the 47. Now i really can't wait till mine arrives

Pretty much the same length and bolster depth. The frame on the #47 stays a touch more slender and, of course, sways back!

Seriously, the ivory is the real deal. The ivory bone is just undyed cow bone. Both look right at home on this pattern.

If you had bothered to read the thread, you would have figured out that all the ivory used is pre-ban, dead for decades. And if you did read the thread, have understood that, and are still angry then you need to take your anger somewhere else. This forum is not about political statements, environmentalism, or anything other than traditional cutlery.

ok i got both the green micarta and smooth ivory bone today. i have a question for you guys… do any of your guys 47's have gaps between the spring and brass liner? both of mine do. very minor and not noticeable unless put up to the light. these are the first GEC's ive ever received with gaps. other wise the blades are perfect. ill try and post some pics in the morning.

That's always disappointing to hear but pretty much inevitable on occasion. Just checked what I have in my pockets and under the scrutiny of holding up to a light;
#81 Abilene - very faint sliver of light along pile side front
#15 Radio - same as above
#85 - no light
Interestingly the #15 & #81 I had never bothered to look at as from the back of the knife they look very tight.

As usual, I'm a day late and a nickel short. I would have loved an ivory bone version, and at less than $80.00, how can one go wrong.
