Who's excited for #47 Viper?!

My Wife and I took a trip to the Great Eastern Cutlery factory today. Bill Jr gave us a the tour, it is quite a learning experience.
I knew the Vipers were still heading out the door but I didn't have plans to buy one until I saw how neat they are.
To make a long story short, this is the one Patty was putting the final edge on at the end of the tour.

that stag looks nice :)
the newest northfield jigged bone looks pretty cool, as the jigging follows the curves of the handle, though I think the tidioute style swedge looks nicer than the cut swedge.

The tour was enlightning as to how many steps are involved with making a quality slipjoint. The G.E.C. Staff, Craftsmen and Craftswomen are GREAT.
I DID NOT have ANY intention to buy the Viper this morning, it would have been very difficult to leave without one. THEY LOOK THAT GOOD.
It just happened that the Natural Stag was in the finishing stages, I would have bought ANY of the Viper scale variations.
The halfstop has a nice crisp snap to it and the feel is pretty cool in hand. This will be in the rotation along with the Esquire in my watch pocket.

Here are the photos of the pile side.

Oooohhh! That's some Boss Stag there, well matched in thickness too. When you get tired of it pass it on here will you.......:D:D

Good luck! Will

I was going to pass on this one, also because of the size. But...then I saw it in smooth ivory bone and I had to order it! Now I am excited about it ;)

G.E.C. does all of their own jigging and dyeing on the bone scales and it is TOP SHELF.
ALL of the options with this model are Pretty Cool, the Lava Acrylic looks AWESOME and was out the door in a heartbeat.
I hope we get to see photos of the Vipers as they arrive home.
