Why Busse Combat?

yeah, you guys make fun, but hibernation is an important part of life. I ignore, more importantly, a house full of women.

but in the meantime I have been sharpening and put some nice edges. I think I took this one down to 13-14dps.

Wow—that’s actually pretty impressive.

Well, he used it like a chisel with a hammer to remove some framing(cement rivets) in his home for a remodel. He thought it was a cheap knife because I lent it to him. He said he'd buy me a new one, lol. I don't think so. The micarta wasn't to badly damaged, I could have sanded it down, but those old handles were thin to begin with. I had to sand the spine to get rid of all the little marks. Luckily the hammer is softer so very little marking on the spine.

She looks sharp as a razor. That's for sure.
Looks like a fantastic all rounder too.

Yeah, with flat ground blades you have to becareful because the primary grind is already like 4dps. So it is easy to over do it and it does not look like it.
Just curious, how would go with the HOG Gemini?
I would use it from slicing to batonning.

I do all my infi around 15-16 dps. My mean street at 15 dps took less damage than my carothers at 18 dps when batoning cement nails. Neither failed.

Have you by chance calculated the primary grind angle on that MS? Inquiring minds...

Don't remember exactly but I think it was 6dps? for comparison an SHBM is approx 4 dps and a ZTBM would be around 7dps due to the mid sabre grind. So the edge on the ZTBM will look wider than on the SHBM for the same angle. The numbers are off the top of my head from memory so are not exact but close.
