Vegas is the place to be right now

Vegas is always the place to be , unless you want to attend a decent knife show ;)

Hope things improve in NH for ya , after 18 years of living in PA , I got while the getting was good.

I do agree with unbreakable's reasoning of "gun over knife", as I carry a firearm on me everyday as well... BUT..there can be times when your in tight spots and you do need a close-quarters type of weapon..In heavy, shoulder to shoulder crowds deploying something like a delica wave could possibly be alittle faster than trying to yank your CCW from under your shirt, jacket, on your ankle or where ever you carry it.. every second counts... even something like a kubaton would work wonders in these situations...If you draw your CCW in the midst of a thick crowd, you had better be very sure this situation will justify you yanking it out....or you will wish you hadn't... Of course the knife should be considered your "last resort"..But you should realize that it can very much be a weapon and a tool, and carry it as such...

As far as Lynn Thompson, he is a business man trying to make a buck, though I do believe he is somewhat passionate about his profession and Martial Arts... Bottom line is no body knows Lynn but Lynn..... I do like many of his products, and dislike just as much..

Sorry... I don't live on the forum and so I don't respond to things in real time. I see things I want to respond to and do it in blocks... you'll notice that's pretty much the way I reply to all threads... it's because I have other things to do.

so by implication, i live on the forums and have nothing better to do?

I find myself saying over and over again "Not to Imply" as it seems some have thin skin. No implication.... only that fact that I only check the forum maybe once a day if I'm lucky so I post in blocks... that's what I said... that's all I meant. It doesn't need to be about you.

No. As with most statements, there is usually another interpretation. He could be implying he has no idea what he is talking about and decided to ride his high horse through a thread without realizing he is routing for an underdog. (yes routing)

It is ironic. It is almost an American pasttime to root for the underdog. However there seems to be a significant portion who didn't get the whole message. If the underdog is a thug, lying, condescending punk, routing for them in the face of the majority just shows one to be a tool.

Ehhh... Not so sure about this. I try to go to the range about two or three times a month and do drills and such with my carry weapon. Drawing and presenting it in any situation is pretty much muscle memory at this point. And there are various shooting drills for extreme Close Quarters. The hip shot for one. Plus you go waving a knife around in a crowd the crowd is apt to turn on you. You fire a gun in the air and people will scatter. And I think the charge for deploying either in a crowd is the same. Most conceal carry weapons are only about 6" in length and generally protrude from the hand no more than 3 or 4 inches... to the business end... so I don't see how a knife has an advantage in close quarters... especially when gun doesn't lose power when you shorten the engagement quarters. I'm not saying a knife can't hurt someone. Just that it really isn't a weapon, and if a knife is all you got... you're apt to be screwed LOL. I know there are some talented martial artists who can do some amazing things with knives... I wouldn't be one bit scared to take them on with my 357sig. You gotta be close enough to touch me with a knife... I can get ya with a high degree of consistency at 100 yards with a pistol LOL.

I think we can deduce that quite easily given the fact that you felt the need to post this and your post count alone.

No one is fooled by your lies, and your running back and deleating your past posts (definately an admission of guilt). BTW don't forget to watch out for the "grimies"

guilt??? lies??? I didnt know you were an expert on me. lol okay

I wish I could be as smart as you guys believe you are.

I'm not going to get into details about my life on this board. Honestly I do not care one iota if you or anyone else believe things or not. If anyone wants to stop running their mouth and meet up and discuss shit over a beer then okay. But if not then stfu. There are much more important things we need to worry about instead of how someone talks. I cant believe I am still discussing this. So consider this my last post on this.

That would be good. Any details would be suspect and would certainly have to be quoted to ensure they wouldn't change over time.

Thanks, it is terrible for a lot of people up here. Many roads are closed by fallen trees and power lines, etc. It's going to be a cold weekend for many folks.

ahhh....

that didn't take long. using post count as some sort of non sequitor attack.

typical of someone who has lost track of their own argument which has failed to stand on its own merits.

This thread has turned into a top candidate for the "Most Useless Bladeforums Discussion of 2008" award.

Actually post count versus sign up date would be great evidence of how much time someone spends here... go back to my point about how much time I spend here. I don't have a very high post count and have been here quite a while. So that is evidence that though I've been a long time member... I don't post much.
