I kinda like both, but I think I would go with black.

I'm pretty happy about it too!! Lol

It was a pretty good day. I didn't even really mind getting stuck. It was actually kinda fun. If it would have taken much longer, my attitude might have changed though. I do believe I'll avoid going on the lake in that spot again until there are a set of tracks instead of wheels on the Gator. It belongs to the farmer I worked for this fall and he's on vacation for a week, so he told me to go ahead and use it to get on a part of the lake where I couldn't get with my pickup. If I knew where the set of tracks were I'd put them on before he got back to say thanks.

Yea because the lighter itself is black, Black kind of looks like it belongs there more! Blends better. I do really like the green as well so its a tough choice.

Pretty cool of the farmer to let you use the Gator! I wouldnt of minded getting stuck if it was warm.. But in the cold i would of been in a hurry to get out of there LOL

There was an old man who lived down the road from us growing up. He had a lot of land and had horses and cows on it. Me and my brothers would go over and he would let us use his Gator and drive around his land.... We went and did it for fun, but the task was to check the fence borders and make sure there was no posts coming up or any fence coming down anywhere.. He would even give us a few dollars for doing it, but hell we would of done it for free just to play on the gator.... But then one xmas we got a couple quads and they were more fun. Plus the old man sold off all his horses and cows and a portion of his land.

it's definitely nice of them to let me use it. I've known the family for quite a while and they're really good to people like that.

It was warm to me, but I think you would have thought it was cold. Mid twenties doesn't seem too bad when last week it was 20 below.

20° in either direction is too cold for me LOL

SO is 30, 40, and 50 :D

WW, Go with the black pattern!

2 for black so far. Green is falling behind in the start.

The only thing that I see that needs to be done is the removal of the bad paint job. Other than the funky paint, it looks like a very good condition 5" JPSK, made between 1961 to Nov 1966.
What you can't see is a slight but quite noticeable bend from the butt to the tip. The owner is not old enough to have been in Viet Nam - so I'll assume maybe it's a hand-me-down.

So this is what I've come up with. Now I just gotta figure out how - using only existing steel.

happy anniversary warrior, I got a gerber dime too. I keep it in my altoids tin with a small first aid kit in my falcon II.

I am having one of those days... trying to order ss tubing and there are to gauge types. I want a thick gauge, they have 16 and 20. how much pie did Tommy eat?

I like the green, personally. :D

And I'm even white! :p

Im green, so i like green :D <-- See im Green!!

I like both really. I like the green pattern best but Im thinking the black may look better on the lighter.

If i do green it will match the sheath 710 made me for my hex hawk.

My final design of the Candiru scout sheath. Thinking of making one for my bk14 with a fire steel

Warrior, Happy Anniversary to you and your wife.

Thanks guys, appreciate it. You like the Dime 710?

Alright reprobates, I need an honest opinion on the 5.11 Rush 24. I need something bigger than my Moab 10 to haul my everyday gear and want a bit more stability. First up, does it have the hidden compartment behind the rear compartment? Next, how comfortable are the shoulder straps?

Just an FYI, buddy of mine at the office bought a Gerber Crucial multitool, and within the first two days there was a pin (think it was a stop pin) that just dropped out. No idea what caused it, but it was not as sturdy as I would have liked, and having pieces fall off for no real reason was kinda disheartening as I had actually considered picking one of those up.
