Why you (yes you) NEED a bk11 (becker necker) pic heavy

Good test, man. Them little Beckers can take a beating. I worked my 14 hard in the September challenge, but I didn't use any rebar.
 
Well, after reading this thread, I'm quite impressed!

May just have to breakdown and spend $30 for this knife

im amazed at how much these knives can accomplish, when other knives that cost the same amount cant bat an eye at half of what these knives do. makes me feel like i've almost been wasting my money this whole time...

I know what you mean. I've bought/sold/traded so many knives that I thought I would be happy with. Just wasting money and time. Then it all came full circle back to my first knife purchase, the Becker bk11. When I first got interested in knives I was fascinated by the Becker necker and knife you could wear around your neck, since then I've own(ed) knives 10x its value but it still sees the most use and abuse. Well done, mr Becker, well done...
 
I am more impressed with batoning through the book than through the wood. It looks great with the scales.
 
Great knife.... forget she is around my neck.... until i need her...... opening a beer....a package... or when I am in an unsavory neighborhood.....i do live near Baltimore..... like an amex card. Never leave home without it
 
Come on clich, I know you can do better than that. I've seen more abuse in a tampon commercial. Drive it in a tree and stand on it or something.

This reminds me of a mini version of the BK2 torture test! I love to see what these blades can take, cause I would not like to do that to mine, nut would like to know that it would handle it if I had to in a survival situation. keep up the great work!

Nice work, Clich! Way to put the thing through its paces. Not that we had any doubt a Becker could handle that...
 
You know why you need a BK11? Because it can slice SPAM without removing it from the can. It's the perfect SPAM knife! It fits perfectly inside the can for slicing. YUM!

with a BK11 and a vic SAK side by side you can open 2 beers at once!
one for me and one for SWMBO (once she goes and fetches them of course) -- who says romance is dead?
