Will there be a 2017 forum knife?

How about a new pattern with a coke bottle shaped handle at around 3.5 to 3.75 inches closed? Basically it would be a larger 06 Pemberton. It is an attractive pattern especially with a long-pull clip-point blade and lined bolsters. I'm pretty sure a lot of people like coke-bottle patterns and might appreciate one in a larger size. I'd like to see satin blades, attractive wood handles, and cool shield such as the gimp or houndstooth.

'Many people are saying' we need something like this, only with partially serrated Tanto style blade made of unobtainium, and with checkered Ostrich femur bone covers, and instead of the stag head we'll have a 3-d likeness of Spark. Also we'll have a secret compartment with coded entry and modify the tool set to include a caplifter blade, of course. A quality leather sheath with ostrich leather insert will complete the package.

$99 should cover it! :surprise:

If it had a nail file I'd be all over it.

That's the one.

CORKSCREW! Finally! I'm SO sick of drinking bottled beers. Plus, I could probably saber open a magnum of bubbly with that, too! Sign me up!

That is an interesting knife! I think we have completely derailed the train at this point...

Could we just get Charlie to make us a HJ with a sailing needle? I need one right now. A small file opposite would be great too .
Thanks, Neal
Light saber! Could we do that?!?!

I'd be happy with about anything that the fine folks who have sponsored this in the past come up with. Every single knife so far has been unique and outstanding.

Hello everyone!
I have been keeping out of the discussion, because I wasn't sure if I wanted to do the knife again this year, especially since prices have been going up; and of course it takes up some time as well.
I have been kicking around a couple of ideas with GEC, and I have an idea that you might like, and that might work!!
Most everyone likes the TC Barlows that GEC produces for me, and many have asked for alternate handles which I stubbornly have refused to do. Traditional only is my mantra!
I propose this:
We do a TC Barlow for the forum knife! No royalties or anything else to me! Not my rules on handle materials either!! Maybe that infamous canvas micarta, or, or or. . . .????
Sheepfoot blades are the next in the rough plan I adhere to.
If I do my run at the same time, we both get economies of scale. The Forum knife will be cheaper than my bone-handled version. Correct me if wrong, but I think all the Sheepfoot Barlows to date have had long pulls, so let's do a crescent nick (also, less expensive) on this one.
What say you???????????

OK! Sheepfoot and some form of canvas micarta would be attractive, works nicely.

I'm glad to see that you're willing to step up to the plate again, Charlie. Whatever you come up with, in whatever fashion, works for me.

You're a better man than I am, Gunga Din!

TC Barlow for a Forum Knife????!!!!! WOW Charlie, are you trying to break the internet?;):p

Sounds like a wonderful choice for everyone. Problem solved. All you need to do is a poll for handle material.
