It's only $10 bucks. You'll be helping to keep the forum running and you can sell stuff. Not too had to make your money back. Then maybe you can have a chance, this is suposed to be fun.

yes, part of the point was at least to throw a bit of a bone to Spark.

Also I should remind everyone that there are some good submissions from people who are registered users, they will NOT be elegible unless they become basic by Sunday.

DaveH, I'll send in my $10 via money order what's the address, or who should I make it out to?

We at Spooner Cutlery have been inundated with enthusiastic responses to the Phlegm. Many of our customers have been clamoring, nay, demanding a fixed-blade offering of the same ilk. To those loyal customers, we say 'wait no more'... introducing the Spooner Flatulencia!!!
PICT0331.jpg

Shown above between two lesser species that shall remain nameless, the Flatulencia absolutely shines. Note the laminated blade. We have taken first grade CPM-styrofoamum alloy, which has the reputation of being indestructible, and formed it into a modified drop-point hunter style blade. This is then sandwiched inbetween to layers of a material sooo secret, that we have code-named it 'masking tape' to protect our trade secret!!! Fabulous!! A knife with a trade secret!!!
PICT0328.jpg

As you can see, the Flatulencia is popular with the ladies! And why not? With the sub-hilt construction, it surely is a handsome performer. We searched high and low for a handle material that was impervious to the elements, widely available and cheap.... and boy, did we hit the target on the head with the use of Duct tape!!! You know what this means boys and girls.... yes, the handle is user-serviceable!! Try finding that on a lesser knife!!!

Now, lets talk performance. The data from our cutting tests is still being matriculated, but our testers took the knife into the field and gave it glowing reviews. Look at this picture of it being used to field dress a savagely dangerous wild-cat (the squeamish should look away)...

Now look at how it penetrated a solid geode with light batoning...

Our knife is so popular, even celebrities endorse it!!!

I didnt realize it was for basic members, but I've already put it together and taken all the pictures, so I may as well post it. Maybe I'll upgrade.

Cactical Creations™ Proudly Presents: THE COMPENSATOR

Knife1.jpg

Tired of your tiny tool(s)? When you whip out this rig, everyone will know you've got a huge... knife. At 14.5 inches this knife will get the job done and then some. Made from only the highest quality cactus, heat treated under the desert sun, the COMPENSATOR will revolutionize the way you view knives. Using patented Cactical™ technology, this knife is composed of hundreds of miniature blades for an optimized cutting expierience. The hollowed out handle is made of a high quality Curious George drinking glass(collect all six!), securely fastened to the potter's plastic hand guard with premium medical tape(trust us, you'll need it). Each knife comes with a patented latex sheath, lubricated for a faster release. For millennia before the dawn of man, the cacti ruled the desert, now for the first time ever, you can bring home a piece of (pre)history.

Not happy with the size of your... blade? Adding inches was never this easy! Just add water, place in sunlight, and watch your tool grow.

Gut and Fillet fish with ease, with all 500+ blades it'll take no time at all!

*Note: I had to shrink that fish down to make it fit in the picture, it was actually this big: |------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------|
Cuts through cardboard like nobody's business!

Check out this awesome action shot!

That's what I call serious Cactical™ action.

The patented latex sheath, included at no extra charge!

What in the hell is that sheath on the Cactical?

A condom I got from one of those bathroom vending machines. Do you have any idea how difficult(and painful) it is to get a condom on a cactus? And thank god my roommate didnt come in, that would have been hard to explain. But it was all worth it to put together this premium one of a kind masterpiece.

And I am now a Basic Member, so vote for me!

This thread is fantastic. That acrylic knife in particular was unexpected and completely badass. I'd pay for a real knife like that, that's incredible.

Spark, my e-mail addy is registered on forum - send me your postal address and you'll get it (for free). I honestly can't afford paid membrship at the time being as I'm borrowing money for my first flat as it is (nor could I have anytime in the past when I was unemployed since I registered here) but this 'knife' is just sitting on my shelf so I don't mind sending it to somebody who thinks it's cool :)

Note though that it IMHO looks better in picture than it does IRL (so ... sparkling :D ), alas, plus it's been made for an under-sized palm :( (OAL = ~25 cm = ~10", whereas normal length would be 30 cm or 12")

The end of the day tomorrow is the last day. SO if you where thinking about entering something do it soon!
