Tim, I think this is great. I don't have three Busses blades, and I like using my knives ar we discussed at the AG Russell show last summer. Saying that I am a educator, not a soldier and I get to enjoy fine enough things here at home. I applaud you on your give-a-way and hope that a deserving soldier gets the blade.

It was a great time and I do remember that conversation. Also it was a pleasure to meet you there. Those two tables sure were impressive to see with all of those beauties we could only drool over.

So far it's looking like very few people know any soldiers that are deploying or already deployed that could use this, so I am starting to research the current candidates a bit to help me decide. No small task.

First off, I would like to tell you how generous and honest you are for making this thread.

Second, I will tell you that I am not in the Military. I would honestly love to own a BJ but, cannot afford one. I have never even seen a Busse/Swamprat/Scrapyard knife in person. I would like to make it clear that I am not in need of a knife, for I have a few KaBar Beckers and Cold Steel knives. If you can't find anyone better I would gladly accept the knife, but there are definitely people who need this more than me. I felt like I might as well make an entry anyways. Thank you for your entry. We all start somewhere and everything changes with time, sometimes good, sometimes not, but sticking through the hard times always pays off in the end. I started out with Cold Steel and Ontario/KaBar's myself back when I was a younger and much less fortunate. For your honesty I will add you to the current list.

I will give this thread a while longer so that everyone has a fair chance to get an entry in before I start attempting to narrow them down or make a selection. This page needs an INFI pic and since the CABS # I received is a date in the very near future I will announce the winner on 3-23-2011 which should give plenty of time for everyone. An update on my situation. The transmission was improperly installed. So that repair is half covered by my warranty. But because of the improper installation there is now permanent damage to other parts of my vehicle. The bill comes to 2100$ (parts and labor).

So, I am now selling off my BWM.
I am also selling off or trying to do a partial trade my TTKZ

I will soon be Busse-less. This is indeed a very sad day.

My family was in a bad situation and he did something really nice for us when everything else felt like like crap. Consequently, I will be replicating his giveaway in May. A stand up guy and definitely deserves a good turn.

They are the ones enduring(or will be) the hardships of a war zone & sacrificing so much.
Not to belittle the non military candidates,it's just I'm a vet too(peacetime)
& cringe when I hear of troops going over for their 3rd & 4th tours.

Yes, and yet getting people to produce one out of over a million military members available is like pulling teeth.

Awesome thread AZTimT. As a former Marine I really appreciate that you are giving our troops priority. I remember how tight money was as a PFC and how nice it is to have high quality gear.

As much as I would love a free Boss Jack (especially being unemployed and going to college school) I am going to disqualify myself since I think this knife should go to a service member who is need of a good knife. Also I already have a well used Satin Jack that fills my mid-sized niche.

Good afternoon All,

Long time lurker, ocasional poster. I am an Operations Officer with the Air Force, and we are getting ready to send over 39 kids out into harms way (various locations to include Iraq and Afghanistan), I KNOW they need this type of quality equipment... I am active duty and would be more than happy to provide pics if selected... I am not submitting myself, as I have quite a few Busse blades to my name already!! Quite often these kids get the short end of the stick, and it would be nice to be able to recognize at least one of them with what you are offering!

By they way, in conjunction with the others, let me say that you are a true HOG!!
