That makes two of us 😂.

All lighthearted kidding and dad jokes aside, I have high regard for a robust lexicon and have enjoyed pushing my teenagers to develop a breath of reading so that they can develop a very good vocabulary. Good writing is a valuable tool!
Number 1 here, and I have the band-aid on my thumb to prove it! 😅🤣
My number one cause of knife bites…the careless fidget!!!

It's not my fault I was born into an age of convenience!!!

You want legitimate knife use?? Fine!

Here's The Rider cutting off a length of toilet paper - just the same way our ancestors had to before the invention of perforations!

(Inexcusable lying commences in 3, 2, 1...)

My great-great-great grandpa was so poor he couldn't even afford a toilet paper knife - he had to use his teeth - which was difficult, because it was made out of leather back then - toilet leather!!!

We have it too easy nowadays...
This is some quality dad jokery right here folks. Get it while it’s hot!!! 😀😀😀

Wow Dan! This is the good stuff! Beautiful photo!!!

Thank you, I appreciate the pictures! I wondered what Southern engine it was. I took a photo of the same engine at the Ivey City Yard in Washington DC on Christmas Day 1975. One of my wife's relatives worked there for Southern and got me in that day to wander around (I was carrying a Buck 301, my only nice pocketknife in those days). Unfortunately the cheap film and cheap processing I used back then has given me deteriorating slides now. OH

Great story! Joseph will get a kick out of it. I will share it with him tomorrow. Thanks for sharing!

Been busy as a bee, probably best I took the 5 day challenge here because it simplifies things. Our old rangetop died so I had to install a new one. I supposed getting inducted is better than getting abducted? We had the Christmas program at my kid's school. Maybe you can can guess which is mine? 🤣

I'm actually a pear kinda guy. These brown ones are especially good. (Old photo of actual tasty pear)

Unfortunately the pears available right now are bland, hard and very expensive to boot. So, apples it is until I finish off the pile. Using my knife to cut them up gives it that nice little tinge of 3in1 and carbon steel....mmmmm

Temperatures are high today for mid December and the forecast is for significant drop, rain and ice. So we took advantage and went by the river for a walk. There is a working quarry on the river side - big machines, giant piles of gravel and rocks. The kid loves it - filling his own truck, transporting the materials and dumping, climbing on the piles, running around…
