I just got back from mailing mine out. When I got back to the office, there was a package for me. The anticipation built as I unwrapped my gift. Only the Red Rider bb gun under the tree of a 10 year old boy could have rivaled my unbridled excitement. As I unrolled the object of my glee, I was overcome with a wave of joy as I recognized the sheath. Alas! I had glimpsed it's midnight leather glory in my prior meanderings about the KITH thread. Could it be? YES! A superbly crafted field knife from John Gulso (Kiraki). Oh how I have longed for your hamony goodness, imagined it's keen cutting ablilities over and over again. It does not, in any way disappoint. John, you sir are a craftsman of high caliber. I will forever cherish this knife. It will get a hearty workout on the upcoming outdoor skills outing I have planned for our Boy Scout troop. As fate would have it, I will be teaching Toten Chip (knife, axe and saw use). Thank you. And to the rest of you... I am sorry for your loss.
On a related note: anyone want a shop full of knife making equipment and material? Cause I QUIT!!!

Don't quit!!! You are doing great!I look forward to your progression over the next couple years. It's motivating to get a knife from a maker who is farther along. It shows where we can improve.
I got a knife from liefjl a few years ago. This year I can finally make one almost as good as what I got from him.
Mine says the same thing. Unfortunately she's often right :beaten:
Tip: If you drop a kukri, don't try to catch it.
