I don't have much to contribute, just an observation. If you want a long drawn out thread, mention the president, hunting, snakes, guns or the mother of all long thread creators; a picture of a hot woman. This is a fine example.

I think the whole idea of it was that it was a STUPID idea... it was a joke (as we were all posting the stupidist things people could do w guns photos) for a gun site I was on... it was supposed to be DUMB. This is NOT a real gun. Thanks.
 
Back to knives...I am thinking of buying another Patriot just like this except in blue bone. Anyone know of any others in blue bone like the patriot that would be around 100$ give or take a few? Quality knife only! Not cheap crap.

Yes...but I had no bee bee's and to me, NOT a REAL gun...as in a gun that shoots real bullets. Yes..bee bee guns can do damage. When my daughter was in the hospital with a ruptured appendix, there was a kid in there who nearly died because the kid got a hold of a bee bee gun (mom wasn't paying any attention) and the bee bee went into his stomach. Luckily, it only punctured and did not break the skin. So I know how serious it can be. However, in all seriousness, your point is correct. But what you are not understanding is that this photo was taken as a joke for a gun website where everyone was posting stupid/funny pics of the dumbest things one can do with a gun. Therefore, it was intentionally meant to be a stupid thing one would do with a gun. In other words, this is something someone should never do. That was, after all, the whole point of the photo. Thanks.

I have a hole in my finger from the same model I know what it can do if I saw my Daughters or anyone else do that I would take it away from them right there and then. Firearms safety should be practiced at all times.

I understand-point made, as I've said..but I think you are taking this photo, which was meant to make that exact point (see my notes above) a bit too seriously. ;-)

I have not seen that one! I LOVE Micarta! One of my favorites. Thank you! And that is where I purchased this one, btw... that same website.

How is this in any way acceptable.

Teaching people, especially children, how to properly handle guns and knives is paramount to not just safety but also to promoting the perceived legitimacy of having guns and knives.

A person posting a picture of them self pointing a gun at their face? That is just crazy. You can see it in general knife discussion on bfc though.
