Wooden Wednesday - Traditionals only please

Looking good, Ron. I'm curious, does the blade on yours seem thicker than it needs to be (particularly behind the edge)? I got that exact knife a while back, and while I really like the way it looks, the blade seems so thick behind the edge (compared to other traditionals) that I've had a tough time getting the edge I want on it. I've been thinking it might be a good candidate for a Krein regrind or something of the sort.

Barrett - Thank you for the compliment. This is one of the best made Queens I have. I bought it from BigBiscuit and I do not know if he did any work on the edge but yes, it is a little thick in the area as you have described. This knife was sharp when I received it and all I have done to keep it there is an occasional stroke or two on a ceramic stone. Of course all it has had to cut is to open some mail and slice up a couple dozen or so apples.

Two of my favorites:

I'm digging the brunette theme today, although I wonder if onojoe's blonde Maserin knows how to have more fun.

The woodies are the only knives I can use one handed, as my thumb is out of action. I'm quite glad that the two most dependable are what I can depend on when I'm down but not out.
