Wooden Wednesday - Traditionals only please

Only a little one, but enough to get me on Wooden Wednesday at last. These small knives seem to have been very popular, in England at least, until about the 1950's, and a good couple of hundred or more years before that. This sort of sized knife would have been used to shape pen tips in the early years of their history and later for small tasks such as cutting string and thread, sharpening the odd pencil and that sort of thing I would imagine. Anyway this one, an equal end pen, is of good quality with two sharp steel blades with great snap, probably made in Sheffield but baring no marks. Though clearly well used the blades don't seem to have lost much in length as they still fill the frame nicely. A nice little knife for the princely sum of 50p at a boot sale. Happy Wednesday. :)
