Cool back story on the mesquite. Came from a board from a furniture shop in a little village outside of Guadalajara Mx. The old man that made the furniture said that this small board (4" x 10" x 14") was too small for them to use and had been sitting in the corner of the dirt floor shop as long as he could remember. He gave it to a friend of mine that goes down there to buy furniture for their Mexican furniture store in Bakersfield. My friend was wearing one of my knives on one of his trips down there and the old guy wanted me to make knife handles from this board. This is one of them.
