I did buff it up with some renwax when I got it but it looked like this before I did that as well. Ironwood definitely deserves a polishDid you polish up the scales on that one, or put some oil on ‘em? They look a lot less “dry” than mine. I was looking through my knife drawers last night and came across that knife and the #74 they did around the same time, and wondered again why they would ever put a matte finish on that beautiful Ironwood.![]()
It's a struggle!Hard to keep that one out of your pocket Jack? Nice photo.

Thank you Jack. Your other Lambs are envious of your beautiful Albers.Nice to see one of those HarveyIt's been a while since I carried my own

The only knife with wood handle that's an "official" carry for me this week is a boxwood Taramundi that I bought in Seville, Spain when I visited my daughter who lived in Spain several years ago. PerhapsPrimble can weigh in with some of the catastrophic critters appearing in the knife handle!
(I've had the knife for over 8 years, and just noticed that I don't have a single photo of the pile side!

I've gazed at that knife often, but have never seen the shark until you pointed it out, Rob! I can see it now; you have a violent mind!An old toothless shark trying to bite the head of a seal pup GT.![]()

I do like the size of the no.6 and your olive wood is a beautiful bonus.Recent arrival, the small Opinel No.6 it is slightly larger than a GEC 15 so no minnow, this one in a very well striped Olivewood. My Tabby approves

I don't see fish or bears. It looks to me like faces of souls trapped in the handle. The only knife with wood handle that's an "official" carry for me this week is a boxwood Taramundi that I bought in Seville, Spain when I visited my daughter who lived in Spain several years ago.
