Wooden Wednesday - Traditionals only please

The ebony on this 110 is pleasing to my eye and even more pleasing in hand. Although, it is possible that it's history with me may be causing an inflated opinion since it has served me so well.

Ebony, violetwood and the last is oak.

The violetwood is gorgeous. A type of Mahogany according to the almighty Google search. I haven't seen anything like it and absolutely need a few small pieces for my own projects!

Here is the opposite side of that violetwood. Just a fantastic chunk of tree.

The only knife with wood handle that's an "official" carry for me this week is a boxwood Taramundi that I bought in Seville, Spain when I visited my daughter who lived in Spain several years ago. Perhaps @Primble can weigh in with some of the catastrophic critters appearing in the knife handle! ;) (I've had the knife for over 8 years, and just noticed that I don't have a single photo of the pile side!)

Always enjoy seeing that Taramundi, GT. As for the critter, I see a llama (or maybe it’s an alpaca?) surrounded by flames.

Great pair, Paul! I love the spear point on the #99. I keep hoping GEC will do another run of Farm & Field #99s, but that Tidioute is nice, too.
