Wooden Wednesday - Traditionals only please

Dave, please forgive my asking:
Is the Elk Guide modeled on the Nessmuk knife?
It looks great. 😁👍

You can still reach the floor? Must be nice. @ my age the floor seems at least 6 to 8 inches lower than it was when I was not old.
Ide need a reach extender to get that button ... and likely to put the knife on the tow of my boot ... ☹️🤨

Sorry took so long to get back to ya. Been neck deep in Christmas orders. Suddenly remembered I didn’t get back to afishhunter today. Yes sir and no sir, sorta maybe kinda. The Elk Guide is really taken from an old Green River. We added more here and took away there until both guides happy. But I’m gonna bet that the Nessmuk shares some similar heritage.

Getting something off the floor is alright for me. But its not that I need glasses its that my arms got shorter. At a branding I can still get down on a calf and get the groundwork done. Just sometimes need a hand back up!

A K’roo Canoe. I asked for a clip instead of a spear. Pepperwood covers.

As someone with a "thang" for canoes, I've gotta congratulate you on that awesome example, Kurt! 😲

I'm carrying a trio of ligneous knives during this week of transition to a new year.
