Wooden Wednesday - Traditionals only please

I like the name Kevazingo!! CITIES!! I hope it's not completely banned???!!!
I suspect, Charlie, it's banned under CITIES (like many other woods) for further logging/trading - not, what you already possess as a finished article - I confess, I've not read the small print.

Talking to a good knifey pal of mine who has dealt internationally for many years - the USA border control (don't recall their precise name) have started clamping down on such goods and will potentially impound until the correct certificate of origin has been produced (animal products in particular) to satisfy them to clear its onward journey.....both in and out of the country.

Groan - I cross the US border a couple of times a month for family! I may have to be careful not to bring anything questionable!!

It appears that bubinga was included in CITES Appendix II at the same time as all rosewood species. When crossing international borders it requires the proper documentation.

I can see why Kevin couldn't wait any longer to post that ultimate Uster; what a classic EO!!🤓

I have 2 rosewood knives this week.
One is a Hartshead Lambsfoot Barlow like José already posted; I call mine LamBarJack.

The other is a Coursolle Pradel. My understanding is that it's actually an English pattern that French cutlers copied. It's a simple knife, but incredibly pleasant to use IMHO.
