Wooden Wednesday - Traditionals only please

Watching Grimm reruns brings some of my larger knives to mind.
I wonder if the maker of the scandi Bowie had tiny hands, but he did a good job and I'm not going to mess with it.

I don't know if I've saved the handle on the lamb-splitter or not, but I finally glued a split on each side, stuffed a void with epoxy putty, and went over the whole handle with epoxy clear finish. If it blows up in my face anyway, I have another lamb-splitter to tide me over till I replace the handle on this one.

Appealing knife, Will!:thumbsup::cool: Both blade and handle look sturdy, but the coin indicates that the knife probably isn't very large.

My only timber-clad knife in the rotation schedule this week is a Böker beer barrel canoe (thanks, Todd):

Optical illusion I'm afraid Gary :) The knife is from a French collective of knife makers/enhusiasts and others anxious to preserve rural skills who put the knife out to raise funds for a new van. They make knives and have an exhibition site for visitors, I understand. A very welcome gift from Yann who posts here. Elm Burl, this one carbon with stainless liners. I don't have it to hand right now as it's at the country house but the coin aint small: An Irish Halfpenny from Geo.IV 2.5cm/1 " diameter and the knife is around 11cm / 4.5"

Thanks for the additional info about the source of your knife and its size, Will.:thumbsup::cool:
My first impression was that the knife was big and stout, but then the coin made me second-guess myself.
