World War I Navy Issue Knife

Beautiful photos, Phil!

Here's mine that I just got today. It's a sharp little knife. Had to get out a bandage about 1 minute after opening the knife.

I'll say it again: what beautiful bone!

Thanks for the picture.

Watch dem pingers....

I received my Navy knives! My pictures dont do them justice at all. Philllls pics do though. Great pictures!
The amber look real good, but the Yellow and Cranberry are STUNNING! Perfect!
The jigging is, by far, the best yet from GEC !:thumbup:

Edit to add : As a side note, I'm 0 for 7 on the buttons!

Another couple photos of my Antique Amber Rope Knife (together with its antique amber cousin).

The Cranberry Jigged Rope knife is stunning! The color is spot on. Better than GEC's Red Licorice or Indian Paintbrush. (Both of which I enjoy.)

I was lucky to have picked up one like HST's (I hope your screen name is a reference to the author from my hometown)
I don't have many wood covers in my small collection, and I like the Teak. F and F are perfect.
This is a keeper.

VERY NICE CHRIS!!! and welcome to the porch:thumbup::cool:

Paul - I couldn't agree more my friend  On both counts :D

Absolutely outstanding knife. Great Job, Charlie and GEC! You knocked another right out of the park!

Phil - Beautiful knives and superb photos! :) I have these same 2 options inbound next week and I can't wait to feel that jigging in person :D The yellow is absolutely mesmerizing!

Dean - Terrific comparison between 2 of Charlie's classics!:cool::thumbup:

It sure is! There isn't much out there like that knife. When you hold it, the teak melts into your hand, there's something very organic about that knife. The Lone Star #15S115 is my favorite pocket knife of the year.

HST = Health, Science, & Technology

HST & Hamsco that's a real nice version of the Rope knife. I personally have never heard of Lone Star.

Josh mate- now that is a nice arrival!

Your pictures show very well the three variants but the cranberry one is, oh yes it is ,it is, euh..., well one is on his way to my home... :D

Thanks, everyone!

Jolipapa, the Cranberry is pretty awesome. I was also pleasantly surprised by the Antique Amber, which is darker than I expected.

Great photos, Barrett. Nice to see them all together. There is some variation in the Amber ones as mine seems to be lighter than yours. But still darker than my Amber Orchard Gem.

Thanks for the comments above Campbell and Dean.

I know everyone will think I am crazy but I like everything about mine but the bail. I thought I could get over it because I like the blade jigging color and size of the knife. Jigging is my favorite seen on a GEC so far.

So I put it up on the exchange but if it doesn't work out there I may go Dremel crazy and cut the thing off and enjoy it that way 👿
