World War I Navy Issue Knife

Thanks Charlie!
The Top Knife in that Photo is a Harrisons Bros. Sheffield Knife, I picked up this very old one up a while agi, it was covered in Paint, took a while with a Bamboo toothpick to clean it I can tell you!
This is a Marples- Like the Woodwork tools, I'm sure made for them and there are a very few Knives out there with that Tang Stamp.
Integral Bolster work - and a Massive Back Spring that makes this Ol' Girl still snap with authority!
I hope this Knife belongs here, as I do think that this knife was made with the intention of a Rope Knife, it has the exact same Blade shape as the Harrison bros knife and I do not think it was originally a Hawwkbill that is worn down.

What are your thoughts on this one?

ps- I agree our friend Augie , Those Damascus ones are very nice Charlie!!!

It looks like a rope knife, Duncan!! Integral bolsters; WOW!! testifies to age!! It's a beauty!! Used with a separate marlinspike!!

Wow!!! That’s is a VERY cool Knife Augie mate.

You would have to ask yourself just how many you would find in this condition and with the Etch.:eek::eek:

Thanks Duncan, condition wise they are hard to find like this, a lot have badly worn or ground on blades, surprisingly a lot of them have at least remnants of the etch, it is a pretty deep acid etch.

Here are 3 of mine, NY Knife and an OVB, and a rare Miller Brothers gravity knife. Not sure if i posted these before. I also have a JT Mount New Jerst wood handled one but need to take pictures of it.
