This thread, regardless of the title, is what the posters made it.

Some have been insulting. But, what did you expect?

The start of your thread was akin to "I don't want to sound racist, but..."

Usually that statement is followed by a racist statement.

So your not wanting to start an argument or become uncivil with your OP, is quite obviously transparent that you knew the outcome would be this.

I don't mean to sound opinionated; but in my opinion some people have opinions that I - in my opinion - don't find agreeable or compatible with my opinions. It is my opinion that those people are opinionated.

Just like with every other video I make, you can't read between the lines. The point of calling you "gay" was to illustrate how ridiculous it is to make a baseless assertion.

Im hoping for B, he must be a damn good reviewer, he does claim to know the criteria for Best Reviewer Ever :)
 
It's awesome seeing so many youtube reviews come together :) I honestly think if you don't like the channel, don't watch it, don't sub... right?

What gets me is that the Op is probably thinking that he has achieved some sort of victory over the YouTube knife community just by posting a thread like this!!

Threads like this is why I dont like BF. It gives idiots like the OP a soap box to spread their hate and stupidity. Good going Four_shore for starting this thread. Not only did it help us realize that people like you are the problem with online forums but it also help unify the community that you sought to bring down. Keep back tracking on the stupid things you say and defend your ignorance because it will only help the YouTube community get bigger and better. It will help bring exposure to our small niche on the interwebs.

Mocking Tuffthumbs is not constructive, nor is it civil.

Had you said something like.
"I might enjoy Tuffthumbz more if he swore less, and didn't talk about his financial or personal problems so much"

then perhaps that might have been civil, and in a way constructive as it could give Tuffthumbz something to reflect on in his videos
and business.

Instead, you incited people to get angry because of your fraudulent post.

Most of the time we dont frequent these forums unless looking for specific information of value. I heard about this thread on youtube from someone who was abused by FS. yes.. it is abuse.
I then read this thread for its amusement value (Because thats all it provided) and saw you talk about Mindsmirror being a lunatic. I laughed my ass off and sent him the link.

The simple reality is that if you are going to define someone as being a lunatic, it would be a person that attempts a composed post requesting civility and then mocks and downs people who are members here within 3 posts because you dont like his personal life. That, in essence is lunacy.

take a look at insanity or lunacy in the dictionary. your post, and then contradictory actions are evidence of what you claim in others. Mindsmirror on the otherhand has painstakingly spoken numerous times on his videos that his actions are and elaborate act to entertain while providing very clear and accurate facts about people like you.

There are lots of fights and problems all over youtube and these forums.. if people just stuck to debating the items and facts in a rational manner, rather than attacking peoples character when they dislike a person then this wouldn't keep happening over and over again. The public Googlers looking for knife information will just see these forums as the lunatic asylums when reading these posts.

This thread was another example of why I dont frequent forums as much as I used to enjoy. Youtube, good or bad, shows real people, taking real time and effort. On this forum you, or any poster, could be anything you pretend. Photos and words are easy to manipulate to serve a purpose and make you seem more than you are.

Sorry I didn't mean to make light of that situation (it was not intended that way).

What I meant was he started on some blitzkrieg against some very easy targets, gained a little momentum, but allied forces ultimately rallied and shut him down to the point where he has no way out and one bullet left in the chamber (to bow out of the thread - not literally shoot himself - lets be clear about that - this was a metaphor). All the while he had some delusional world view that he firmly clung to until the very end.

The way I see it this thread has gone on way too far - if I can shut him down with a couple aggressive posts I'll do it. Will I get banned? Who knows? Who cares? Damn the torpedoes, this is the most ridiculous thread I have ever seen - I came here for knife reviews, I got roped into this bs. And yes, I'm very upset.

Um, sure, but you miss the point. I really didn't bother to disagree or agree with anything you said. My opinion is that your video was a wonderful example of nerd rage on the internet--a 10+ minute video of someone complaining about a thread they read on an internet forum. Now, it could be that you are in fact some sort of Andy Kaufmanesque comedian or performance artist. That would be brilliant. Even if not ironic, it's brilliant for being perfect nerd-rage. I don't see calling your video a ''nerd rage" video as a negative.

In this whole thread, I really do find it funny that people who post videos on youtube get so upset when other people don't like them and make negative comments about the video. It's not like strangers came over to your house or accosted you on the street to tell you your knife reviews suck. You put them out for the world to see. If your so fragile you can't handle some idiot out in cyberspace, like me perhaps, commenting that they don't like your work, then stop posting it. You will feel better.

To the OP, I think it was a good idea for a thread. I'm quite amused by some of the new videos I've seen because of it.

my delivery on tuff was almost an exact quote from one of his videos.

people ask for evidence (as to why you don't prefer a channel) and subsequently complain when it is provided.

as for as the lunatic who labeled me "gay" (which should be considered far more insulting than what i said), i suppose i didn't have to do anything to prove my point on that one.

when i said MM was a mental case it was meant to be humorous. the fact that he made a video rant about how i have no solid evidence that he is a mental case is utterly hilarious. isn't he the same guy that called me "stupid" because i couldn't see that his pietermoore challenge was a joke?

oh, i get it. it was just a bad joke. i don't physically believe that you have mental disorder but your YT vids create that image for you (at least IMO).

There are some guys that don't give much information but usually I watch the videos for comparison purposes and to see the knifes in hand. I don't have any knife dealers close so I can't get my hands on most of the higher quality blades. I do appreciate all their efforts and hope they keep making videos. I personally love watching guys like X4CTO because they're interesting/entertaining to me. If I want to know the facts only I can come here to all you knowledgeable folks :) Speaking of nutn I watch some reviews but I don't always agree with his ideas of what makes a knife "likable". That dude is goofy though, I always laugh when I watch them.
