not gonna diss x4acto but i am tired as fuck of that shit. just that everything else is tolerable. anyone see that ZT video where the knife was in his wifes pantys? i was like WTF!!!!

There are few others with language problems in this thread that just got your warnings. Feel free to debate but the language needs to be kept "family friendly."
 
For me Nutinfancy...I liked his reviews when he first hit the scene but man how an ego can grow so large is beyond me. He talks down to respected knife designers, takes credit for anything that is newly released as if he graciously guided the company to use deep cary clips...etc.. and seems to be in a narcissistic stupor...I try to watch but inevitably shut him down when the muck reaches the crest of my boot.
 
This was the stupidest thread, why would you even post this? Most people who make youtube videos are very knowledgeable. and Tuffthumbs is a great guy, and who cares if he cusses, its not a big deal. There are idiots on forums and there are idiots on youtube. This thread is nothing but hate, if you were going to do this dont say they are idiots. Atleast give a reason for disliking somebody. There is always room to learn, and everybody misspeaks. most of these guys are my friends and know what they are talking about. This thread has accomplished absolutely nothing.
 
Nutnfancy, I liked his old videos but now that he takes credit for selling knives for companies, and talks as if a company designed a knife because he said something similar just bothers me. That and his take of jimping is just frustrating. If it has jimping it is emergency tactical regardless of size and strength. Toothpick with jimping is tactical, he would say something like "This toothpick is a lightweight great emergency tactical defensive tool due to its jimping or as he would say "GIIMPINGG""

he made a few valid points but i can't agree with everything.

one of the reasons is because YT personalities really put themselves out there and that opens you up for criticism.

movies get bad reviews, actors have their performance judged and this isn't any different.

he's right though, personality does affect peoples decisions.

if you have a cocky opinionated attitude and it shows in your video, maybe you should bring it down a notch.

more people will enjoy your videos if you can carry yourself in a somewhat professional manner.

when you go to a job interview, do you drop F bombs and talk about your sex life? do you complain about financial hardships?

no, even if that's your "personality" you learn to refrain to represent yourself in a positive way.

people who lie, constantly swear and complain about personal problems etc, are going to get mentioned here.

we tuned in for some knife related info.

if that is not provided than be prepared to dodge bullets.

numerous people have said that i haven't backed up my claims and i feel like that's all i've done (aside from defending my thread topic).

i never said "i don't like so and so because he's dumb". (with the exception of MM but i didn't think people needed explanation on that one).

you made your video and expressed that nothing good will come of this. i beg to differ.

i think overall yes this forum was bound to have negative consequences. the fact that someone is willing to make a thread about the worst is honestly just sad.

everyone is entitled to their opinion but this thread is really just childish. constructive criticism could have been good for the community as a whole but this just badmouthing of other channels dosent do much and instead just pisses people off.

being a youtuber i can attest to the fact that its not easy to get in front of a camera and make a video. but that being said im open to criticism from someone who actually makes videos rather than people who have never made a video in their life and dont know what its like. and would rather just hate on you. unless you actually make videos and contribute to the YT knife community you arnt really in anyplace to criticize.

overall this thread will not really get anything accomplished.
 
its comments like these that dont get anything done. why dont you elaborate on why you dont like them rather than just hating on them.
