Would love to see a nice knife released

You are 10 years too late.
4-5 inch knife? What you gonna do peel something? You can't chop a car in half with that! You can't escape from a nuclear submarine with that.
Just kidding, I had one on the exchange.
Here it was the Dogskinner:

Look for the model you want on the different sites and one will pop up now and then.
The boss cannot make one knife for you because you want it, he's already made a thousand or more.
Asking for it will get you nowhere, You might as well ask Santa clause.
The Boss makes what suits him and his. Can you blame him?
Love the Hunt .

Well, I do enjoy peeling things. Occasionally actually cutting things. ( I suppose I could use the WTF as an indestructible cutting board of sorts.) The odd whittle here and there. Just looking for a handy knife in the midst of the porkfat hackneck swineflu pigdog...of doom. Nuclear melted, of course. You know, the old NMPFHNSFPD...OD.

Bit tongue in cheek there, just to clarify. :)

"Pigdog of Doom" could very well be the coolest name for a knife, ever. Putting that name on a beautiful satin Kephart style bushcrafter with white paper micarta handles would be funny.

SOB, AMS, CABS (or with choil if that's your thing), slightly bigger but BJ, RatManDu, INFIDu, SWATManDu, never mind all the other Busse, Swamp Rat and Scrap Yard releases that I havent mentioned that fit into your criteria...

I think the WTH looks pretty reasonable, even with it's wide blade:

Chances are if you haven't found a BusseKin you like, you just haven't looked hard enough. It's pretty amazing to see how wide of a variety Jerry's design language encompasses

I think we already saw the "PigDog of Doom" prototype, it looked like a BB13 Spatula! :D

AMS is a fine little knife. I mentioned the CABS and SAR4 earlier in a slightly modified form. I know what's been made in the past. My point is that I'd like to see a knife such as I described available in the present and future. For perspective, and I'm not bashing, I see very little practicality in the design of the WTH as is. Shallow it out to about 1.25 blade width and now we're talking. Then, and this is the important part, keep a well designed knife in production so they're actually available directly for a while and in a reasonable time frame.

Ahhh yes, I understnad what you're saying...sooner or later Jerry, Garth and family will release something perfectly to your liking, just a matter of time. As far as how long it'll be available? Well that could range from Janitor's closet special Pregnant DODO (just 13 total IIRC?), to the TGLB (way too long IMHO) - you never really know what or when will come out of Wauseon, that's for sure.

I hear you about the WTH...I didn't think it would be that handy until it showed up. Can't say I'm going to stab much with it, but cut, pry, chop, and cut some more in a not too big a package, it's not that completely useless ;-)

I don't know if you've had the pleasure of modding a Busse, but there are some talented people out there and based on my experiences, INFI takes great to modification when done correctly.

Whatever the case, I look forward to when Busse does drop this perfect knife you speak of - sounds like it could be pretty nice to me :)

I make Knives....I Buy Busse Knives...And I buy way to many other Knives....Still Looking for The GRAIL...

Grass is ALWAYS greener

Sometimes not so much...What looked good at first glance turned to be Dead Grass!!

In the 4-5 inch range one of my Favorites is still a Swamprat Custom shop Ratmandu drop point in SR101 satin finish full flat grind. Wicked sharp edge and still less than INFI in a similar size blade. INFI really shines on Large Choppers SR101 is excellent on smaller blade lengths IMO.

.....I prefer mine coated....but yes.....I like your thinking (mine is the Black and Tan one)..... ;)

With O2W part two getting ready to start, you might get a shot at my all time favorite small Busse, the LMS:

This knife needs a choil mod to remove the front talon hole and you will have a Fantastic edc blade.
The full blade length can be kept so would will only be gaining a bit of grip options.

See below:
I completely get Warbo150's point. What he described has been my EDC for over 6 1/2 years and is the one I would sell dead last.

The HACK has had its tip dropped a bit and the butt thinned slightly. But you can see the choil mod here as well.

That is a beautiful knife !
Everyone is talking up the sob but I sold mine because I didn't like the golf ball handle.
Love my cabs but just sent it out for liners.
Love my bj even more but again it's out for thicker handles.
A 5" satin blade like the bj but slightly shorter with a bit different handle would be a winner. The infi ratmandu but slightly thinner and more refined would be cats a$$

An anorexic urban fudge I think would be really nice ☺

I don't think I've ever seen a picture of that particular RMD Busto. Heck, I don't think I've seen a picture of a FFG Drop point RMD other than the two I have. Both of mine are coated though. A satin version would be extremely nice.

Yep just like that...Satin Drop Point with Swamp G10 Orange and Green Scales. I no longer post photos insurance reasons, but I may have posted it a few years back in the Swamp Forum where it belonged.

Something like my EDC modded MrS.
