OK, so it's true I'm not a fanatic or anything, and I mean no offense at all. However, I sure would like to see a nice, satin finished INFI knife of a reasonable size that does not look like it was designed in a junior high lunch room. Camp cleavers, war swords, pork chops, bunker busters, AK47, battle sharks, hucks, etc, etc, etc. Battle grade, odd coatings, O2W. I guess I'm just not keen on them. One man's opinion, not worth all that much at that.
I'd just like to see a 4-5" drop point hunting knife that's not to thick with a nice micarta handle in satin INFI. I'd probably buy one of those, I think INFI is good stuff. I don't need a fatback warchop, battletrain thing. No offense to people who like those, truly. To me they just seem a bit...kitchy. A good quality knife speaks for itself, and Busses is certainly capable of making those.
The world is almost entirely drowned in this boring stuff, with hardly the Himalayas emerging from this morass, and you are complaining that there isn't enough. I guess there's just never satisfying for some people...
There is not a single quality production, or even custom, hollow handle knife over 10" being produced, in fact I'm not even sure there is any quality production hollow handle, of any kind, that you can order besides the Randall Model 18... Then there is TOPS with a few "tacticool"-looking sawbacks prybars and choppers, and that is about it for something "Tacticool" of even passable quality. You complain that Busse is doing a lot of "tacticool" designs, when they are almost the only factory doing this to any level of quality worth talking about.
To top it off, Busse has done plenty of boring "bushcraft" type knives, in INFI, in the sizes you want... What I read in what you are saying is that you will not be satisfied until all the well-made production "tacticool" designs have been entirely eradicated from the surface of planet Earth... To me that is what this sounds like. Sorry if I come across as overly churlish.

Well what I see is that you are not ready to purchase when the "Right" model 4-5" drop point is offered so you expect Busse to have that "Available Directly for Awhile or Reasonable Time Frame"....Well Jerry Busse has a marketing plan that releases models for immediate order. At that time they count the number of blanks to produce with a few in reserve to cover a warranty. He must be doing something right because he has NO DEAD Inventory taking up space and being taxed at the end of the year...If you see something you like buy it if not keep waiting...Hope that works out for you.Hi,
I posted: I'd just like to see a 4-5" drop point hunting knife that's not to thick with a nice micarta handle in satin INFI. I'd submit that the world is not "entirely drowned in that boring stuff" nor is that stuff actually boring, it's very useful.
I also posted: Then, and this is the important part, keep a well designed knife in production so they're actually available directly for a while and in a reasonable time frame. I think that makes sense and speaks for itself.
Your interpretation in saying, for some reason, I "will not be satisfied until all the well-made production "tacticool" designs have been entirely eradicated from the surface of planet Earth." Makes no real sense at all. Not sure where you get that.
Folder First Brother!!!!I think it's time for Busse to make a hollow handle knife series.....
Folder First Brother!!!!
Then a 10" Jackhammer!
I just try to keep the Faith and thought I once saw a Flying Pig...Probably a delirious tremor![]()

You might have been in Cincinnati - pigs fly there, see http://flyingpigmarathon.com/That was a pink floyd concert. I saw the same pig
To this point, I think it is also worth mentioning that on the BG FBM and BG Battle Saw offers during OP2W pt.2 the Boss has said (I believe), that the plan was to have them in stock or available for order permanently at some point in the future and not just for a week at a time.Well what I see is that you are not ready to purchase when the "Right" model 4-5" drop point is offered so you expect Busse to have that "Available Directly for Awhile or Reasonable Time Frame"....Well Jerry Busse has a marketing plan that releases models for immediate order.
