Wow, haven't looked at knives for a couple years. Prices seem insanely high now.

I'll send mine to you, Charlie Mike and someone else can send the 110. I bet you could do a hell of a hard use test.

I replied to the original thread .....lol

Lets ship them off Makael, I trust CM to test them and post a video. He can keep mine IDC I never carry it anyway. We will find out which one is together at the end.

Back in the late '70s, I bought a Buck 303 Cadet for $15 and at the time, I thought that was pushing it, price-wise. So no, I don't expect knives to go down in price. Nothing else is.

I'm still very impressed that Victorinox has kept the prices of their knives relatively low, yet still maintained their high quality over the decades.

I rarely buy knives anymore anyway, so I'm not stressing over the new prices.

I bought a Rolex Sea Dweller for $6400 in 2008. That same watch now costs $10,400.

Buy now.

You tube search lock strength test. Sorry about link. Cool video

I could do a test... filming would be a problem.

You don't have anyone to film for you? I would donate that CS and even pay return shipping for the Buck back to Makael, but that's the most I'd do as some else needs to up the Buck even though I have one. I ain't being the only one with something in it. And besides it would lose entertainment value with only my knives involved.

Yup... I live alone and rarely have people over. All my videos are filmed with my phone. If Big Kitty could use my phone, we'd be in business.

I've watched your vids and they were pretty good. I know you have some good friends. But, we can't do it anyway if he doesn't want to.

If prices increased 20-40% annually like health insurance does, what should they cost?

Shipping knives to Charlie Mike so he can "test" them, film the entire process, then presumably post the video on the internet.

Sounds like a lot of effort and expense to go through just to prove that one total stranger on an internet forum is wrong.

Personally, if I know I'm right, that's all that matters to me. I don't need to prove to everybody else that I'm right.

If you are certain that a Cold Steel knife is tougher than a Buck 110, then I think you should be content in your own certainty.

I own an old Buck 110. And I own a CS with the Triad lock. And although I've never "tested" them, I believe that the CS lock is stronger. But I don't feel compelled to prove it to anyone. My confidence in my own belief is good enough for me.

But maybe Charlie Mike has nothing better to do with his time then settle a dispute between two total strangers on the internet?

Has there been any great public outcry here of people wanting a "test" between a Buck 110 and a Cold Steel Triad lock?

I just haven't seen the 110's I've owned hold up very well. Others say they do, to the point they are saying they can hold up as well or better than anything for the money. Not the first time I've had someone here tell me I'm wrong about the 110. Maybe I am. Maybe the ones I've owned and used were flawed. If someone wants to disagree with me and I think otherwise I will offer to prove what I think is so. Don't see the need to argue about it when it can be shown one way, or the other.

Lock strength discussion again?

"Knife A can hold my weight, but knife B can hold twice that!"

The video is already on line. Both locks maxed out test. Both are sold locks.

28 bucks at W store. I don't know of a better knife for the money
