The system is the way it is. Get over it, or create your own. Just don't expect the rest of us to necessarily agree with it.

I still maintain for you to take a second look at a majority of the posts in this thread. Posts 117 and 126 have nothing to do with Jerry or Skunk's operations. They are solely about people here on BF, selling in the secondary market. And even then, it does not apply to most.

No need to [rant]. I'm listening...:)

Well, if you're looking to give away any  more....

We generally try not to blame Jerry for anything. He delegates blame. That is what Garth is for ;)

All I got to say is ITS A FREE COUNTRY WOOT!! BUY THEM ALL HOGS, BUY EM ALL!!!!!

I think Jerry has made an adjustment in his prices for knives. Last year at Blade, the custom shop one off knives were $397 - $497. This year, a lot of the Custom shop knives were $697!!! Now did we start whining and thell Jerry he was "gouging" us? HELL NO! We bought all that was there and the ones back at the shop that weren't even completed!!!

Not too long ago I put up two Busse knives for $100 less than I had intended to, I wasn't think and before I could correct my mistake, two guys said they would 'take it" Now did I tell them sorry, I made a mistake and they are really $100 more? No, I sold them both at a loss because it was my mistake. Now, will I do that again, I hope not!

The are plenty of good knives out there for sale, I find them all the time and I don't whine when someone beats me to one I want.

:D

It took me three Extravaganzas before I was able to score my first piece of INFI.

I was pissed... at myself.

In truth, I could have gotten a piece at any time from the company store or the secondary market. I could have ordered a War Boar, a Pork Belly Skinner or a Hell Razor but those didn't appeal to me very much.

I wanted something special and I waited untill I got it.

My latest disappointment was the Mole Jack, those sound very nice, but they were gone by the time I heard the company store had them.

I didn't have it together for the Mole Jack. That has always been my problem. The first two Extravaganzas that I missed out on, I didn't have it together. My email server was lame and on the first one I missed the go signal because the blade forum melted down and I didn't know to check the Busse forum. On the third try I used a different email adress with a faster server and the blade server didn't melt down so I scored.

If I can do it, you can do it.

If you beat me to the trough, order a spare and let me buy it at cost.

I don't think I will hold my breath on that one.

aaronjayl,

Most of the order I am currently trying to make is just me being the bank for my now adult kids who got the last two I gave away.

My kids, buying their own Busse knives, pretty cool don't ya think?

I will try to get them all together, all the swords that is and get one of them to post a picture. (once I get the rest of my next order that is)

You know what scares off new people interested in Busse Knives, not high prices, but threads like this where it comes across that all we do is complain and whine. I don't think anyone came here to complain or whine, but that is what the perception is from anyone outside looking in.

I have a lot of fun collecting, buying, selling and hunting for INFI. I don't plan on changing anything I do because of this thread. I also try to help new people by answering questions, answering emails, and sending pics to help them get their first piece of INFI. I also don't plan on changing that because of anything in this thread.

:D:D

Hey randucci my buddy. Pls do let me know beforehand when you are bout to make the same mistake again so I can be the first to take those off your hands

Agreed Eric. (edit to add...) So this is not taken the wrong way I wanted to back up a few of my posts... I LOVE FNG's around here. I would probably still classify as such to many of you. I received a warm welcome and a lot of help when I first poked my head in the door in this forum from more seasoned members. I want to pass along that welcome new people to the forum to pass along what information I can. Bring it FNG's!

I can testify to what Eric here said. Over the past few days or so, I have been emailing some Hogs just to pester them with silly piglet questions :D And all of them have been very patient and helpful with me. And in the course of those emails i got some really got deals too! And I mean really fair and good deals :D

true to Erics form I am going to quote myself in specific areas since it was not read.

Busse knives are not the only knives that command a huge profit. Strider fixed blades with cord wrapped handles command more:eek: and resell for more or use to. Mad Dog knives command or use to command huge increases. Spyderco knives tend to command more in their special run knives. Microtech does as well. Oh and lets not forget Randall. You wait 3 years to get the knife or pay twice as much for a reseller's blade. Did you go and post in those forums as well?

If you really meant to garner a true discussion about reselling then you would have gone nto the general forum and posted in general terms, as the entire industry does this not just Busse knife collectors. .

You really should not have singled out one group of collectors:jerkit:

Since we are operating in a free market economy, I suggest that the two of you not purchase from those whose prices you deem to high and allow the rest of us to make up our own minds as to what we are willing to pay.

I did not read this whole thread, because I don't need to. I read cleaner145's post 3 down and he summed it up.

Name one thing in the entire world in which price is not dictated by the economic laws of supply and demand. Believe me, this even happens in communist/socialist countries.

Anyone who argues otherwise is an idiot.

Glassjax, i did not post your name incorrectly on purpose, it was a typo, probably a "freudian slip" looking back at it now, you gotta admit it was funny though! and i did answer your questions by email. thanks again!

I did send you an off-line e-mail. Any chance you'll answer honest questions there with honest answers?"

thanks again!

Thank you too.

I figured the mispelling was intentional, only because that's the second time I've seen it on these forums in responses to me...

You know what ticks me off? It's those guys that bought Microsoft stock when it was $2 a share. Man it burns my butt that they won't sell it to me for $4 a share, after all they are making 2 times what they paid for it. Who cares that they had to take a risk in buying it, hoping that it might go up, and maybe losing all their money.

I can't stand those guys, trying to take advantage of me and selling for what it's worth. Stinking capitalists ;)

Eric You are my hero :D  :D  :D

I think I may offer my Hammy Mojo up for 1500.00.................................nope I would not sell it even for that(means too much to me).

I saw this sticker on a truck window one time it said " Cowboy Up !" not sure what that means, but I think it means quit crying & get back on the horse, because no one owes you anything & if you are going to get anywhere you just have to press on ?

Here is a nugget to chew on for all of those who want to regulate, how many you can buy, how much you should sell for, & so on.

It brings to mind another group that want to regulate; how many you can buy, how long you have to wait, how many rounds you can carry, where you may store it, whether it is a assault rifle, do you really need it, should it have a collapsible stock, what kind of bullets to have, should you actually use it & so on.........................do you really want to be in that group?

Just a thought fellow Americans :D

Cobalt - it's worse then you think for Randall's. Current delivery for new orders is March, 2011. Pay now, or wait a loooooooooooooooooong time.
