You're right, rules ARE rules. People did get carried away.

We've got some real good people here and I just hate to see fellow hogs getting blasted on their own turf..

But then again, rules ARE rules. I'm sure if it's an issue the people involved will contest it.

Also, no - I don't have food poisoning. Certain things just make me sick. :barf:

You are so right! I much rather have a guy walk away feeling like things were fair then save $100. As they say what goes around comes around.

AND when I get the feeling that the guys I deal with are not win-win but that they always need to win I just stop dealing with them.

That friggin' bites. I sent Lil' Foo an email congratulating him on the score and calling him a Lucky Bastid.

Then I sent him another PM asking if he'd mind if I offered the guy $450 for the knife. :D

But I was just yanking his chain in the way HOGs do.

Seriously, I never thought someone would actually try to undercut the deal.

May the rust of a hundred dilapidated Model T's infiltrate this person's INFI.

Some people just get so jealous of another person's good deal that they just have to go and ruin it? :thumbdn: :thumbdn:
 
Well I miss all the fun. I saw the for sale post before I crashed as I was pooped after sharpening my dang FFBM.

Anyway, I am not 100% sure what happened but I see it like this:

(1) The seller listed a for sale.
(2) Lil Foo posted an "I'll Take It"
(3) The knife should go to the "I'll Take It" for the exact price specified in the for sale thread.

This is why I try to remember to put a "The First I'll Take It Gets It". And this is where the seller really needs to keep things straight up an honest.

Knives is knives. Even INFI. But HONOR and FRIENDS are way above and beyond.

and that's coming from a Hog who sweetened the deal AFTER the fact, cause he felt I'd undercharged him on a back room deal, and he wasn't comfortable with what he had payed :thumbup:

Glockmann did as he was supposed to do. The rules are clear. As a matter of fact, there are a couple more posts there that are chat as far as I am concerned, but if he feels he's covered his bases, then I won't second guess him. I doubt he derived any pleasure from passing out the infractions for obvious chatting. If there was an issue then it should have been addressed in the GB&U with a link to the sale thread. There are ways of addressing things without breaking the rules.

When did asking a question about a knife or stating you want to be next in line become chatting? I've had my initial deals fall through and had to sell to one of the next people in line. I have also been the next in line for something and got it because the first deal fell through. I've seen a lot or real chatter go unpunished in the busse sale forum. Why start with people that are actually interested in the knife?
 
Perhaps Solstice and Raining should not have received an infraction as they were asking to be next in line if deal falls through. The only reason I can think of that they received one is because they said more than just "next in line".
 
I think this entire thread is probably whine and cheese or GB&U fodder.

Even though I have no stake in the offending thread, I couldn't help but feel empathy for those who were warned for chatter, and that's about the extent of it.

I mean no offense towards the mods or those individuals involved, and my personal feelings regarding any of you and how you conduct your business is completely irrelevant.

Respectfully; I think it belongs here because it concerns pretty much just Busse people.
 
If you guys look at your infractions you will see that it expires in 10 days or so. Plus I do not think there are any actual points against you guys. Anyway, we should probably move on to more talk of sharp knives, large drinks, and GOD knows what else. :D

and sorry for those that received infractions over their posts.
The only infractions I wanted dished out, was to 1who:foot:...
as his post was REALLY in poor taste... and I sent him a PM stating as much. :grumpy:

I believe this thread was started to call out some piss poor behavior going on.

For those guessing... yes the seller posted a knife for sale,
I posted I'll take it... and then several people sent him an email or
a PM asking him to back out of the deal with me for $xxx.

Now that is just low and unethical if you ask me. Certainly not HOG like behavior in my opinion.

Now… let’s get back to fun pointy things…
