I felt no empathy regarding this post.

You have no idea where I'm comming from and can't identify or understand why I posted that? Maybe you've never been warned for chatter.

Let me explain.

I felt bad for those who received warnings for thier "chatter" because I received a warning myself very recently for chatter.

It's embarrasing and it sucks.

Thats why I was empathetic towards those who received warnings.

Who cares... infractions are really meaningless.. Its all good Grim.. no need to feel bad... I find it a bit entertaining :D:D:thumbup:

You must have skimmed my post before I edited it. I wasn't talking about you at all.

I basically said the same thing as Lil' Foo. I've seen people here make excuses for Chuck (1whobuys) because "that's just how he rolls." People keep saying he's a nice guy once you get to know him, and I've had at least one trusted person here tell me he was extremely gracious after a deal. I'm sure all of that is true, and I have no problem drinking a beer with the guy and talking INFI.

But Chuck pulls no punches when he posts, so why should we? With that in mind... it was a crap post to lay claim to a $500 value for the knife when the deal was already done. He only needed to ask if the seller had any more Leaner Meaners at the selling price. That might be Chuck's idea of how HOGs roll, but I have a slightly different view. I've already been party to one rant-like exchange with him in the past. I guess Foo has got his coming as well. :p

Yeah well what ever happened to no Effin Regrets everyone was talking about awhile back!

Guyon, before you edited your post you quoted a post I made and I wasn't sure if you were taking a jab at me or something, I wasn't sure so I just put it out there how I felt about the situation.

And yes, I agree about the $500 remark - that's not how hogs should roll.

It's one thing to get stomped on the way to the trough but to get stomped after you've already fed - thats pretty stinky.

BTW: For those who received their first infractions today. Welcome to the DARK SIDE! :p

No effin regrets here.

I missed the knife by a few minutes. Got home, saw what I'd missed, and immediately sent a "Lucky Bastid" PM to Lil' Foo.

I still consider him a Lucky Bastid for getting that knife for $300.

His good fortune, not mine. The dude just had work done on his knee and deserved a good break.

Though I teased him about screwing with the deal, the thought never crossed my mind seriously.

Chuck is just pissed because he's been buying meaners for $500 or more and is now mad that someone had the gall to sell one at a reasonable price and he missed it. I wonder?... could it be that he offered $350 for it after the fact? maybe, maybe not :D

Chuck, it's still going to take two mint satin factory meaners to get my ruck:D and at the end of this year it will be three:D who knows maybe an SFNO and a meaner:D

Glockmann did as he was supposed to do. The rules are clear. As a matter of fact, there are a couple more posts there that are chat as far as I am concerned, but if he feels he's covered his bases, then I won't second guess him. I doubt he derived any pleasure from passing out the infractions for obvious chatting. If there was an issue then it should have been addressed in the GB&U with a link to the sale thread. There are ways of addressing things without breaking the rules.

I went back and read the rule, and it said, "Buyers are encouraged to ask questions, however, For Sale threads are not for product discussions. Take it elsewhere. Do not chat up a thread trying to keep it at the top of the exchange area."

I though it was pretty chickenpoo for Glockman to give "chatting" infractions for posts calling second or third dibbs if the deal fell through just because they added a "damn I missed it" type comment. (I'm talking about Solstice's and Raining's posts.) I would never have guessed that their posts violated the rule Spark wrote.
