yellow fever

Here's a selection of my yaller knives. Two are fake MOP, probably really old celluloid. The one fartherest on the left is a Hammerbrand, next is a Kent, then the other two are obviously Case.

Its a wharncliff copperlock, they usually have a clip blade, but this one seems to have a wharncliff-style blade with a nice patina:thumbup:.

nice knives

I just found another old yeller knife to add to the collection.

Now I just need to clean her up a bit and maybe give the tip a little touch up.

Oh man, don't clean it up much. It's got soooo much good charater it would be a shame to do more than just rub it down with an oily cloth and sharpen it up.

Very nice old Queen.:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:.

Thats a very neat old Queen.. I like the bolsters, you don't see them like that very often.. Nice find

Oh, don't threat it just has a few high rust spots that need to be rubbed down a bit. The springs are surprisingly  but the action is a little gritty, nothing compressed air and a bit of oil won't fix though. The tip is the part that kills me, I've seen much worse and for the age I should just be happy it has that much main blade left.

Yeah, that's what made me take notice of it, a dulled bolster sticking out of a see of old beat up blades.

Thanks

Case to offer in their yellow handled, with CV line, the small stockman and the small pen knife.
The 2 5/8" closed ones.

Oh I likes my Peanut and other yellow handled knives, just these two knives are soooo neat, and I prefer CV, and gosh darn it all, we need these two added to the YH CV line .

*yep*

Got the first portion of this week's yellow fever infusion today...the Boker "Gaucho" Sodbuster. A heck of a deal for $12.99 delivered but not quite at the level of F&F of the Case, Queen and Moore Maker (Camillus) offerings imho. (At the price, however, that is easily overlooked.)

Edited to add that the action cleaned up quite smoothly with a liberal dose of Tuf-Glide, and a few minutes spent on stone and ceramic has the edge slicing nicely.

This has been posted before, but if we are going to talk yellow these need to be included.

I just bought my very first yellow handled CV Case, a penknife. I love the little bugger! It's larger than my peanut, but still small enough to ride comfortably in my shirt pocket. It's a new pattern for me, and I'm really enjoying it.

I have a large and small Carl Schlieper Soddie, should have a large Stockman too sometime next week. Also have a two bladed trapper made by Owl Head, and one of AG Russell's yellow handled lockbacks that look like a Mountain Man, with an acorn in the left slab, a match strike nail nick, and the blade is 154CM. I just looked in AG's catalog and do not see it anymore, seem to remember it was made by Camilus, so that would explain why it is no longer in the catalog. Too bad as it is a nice knife.

Im a fan of the "yeller" handles too, I just wish Case made a 3 7/8 to 4'' yellow stockman in cv! Maybe I've missed them, but all the stockmans in that range are usually ss.

The one you want is CA203 for a CV version. (3375CV) 4-1/4" closed
3318CV would be the medium 3-5/8 closed.

I have a Case CV in yellow and a Queen in D2. When Queen says yellow they mean YELLOW,sort of CRAYOLA yellow but still nice!!!

Thats been the only complaint I have about Case, sometimes their yellow is a little light. My peanut is okay, but I wish it was a bit more...shall I say bright?

Yellow is good. Stands out around a camp or crowded kitchen table.

Chickenplucker, I forgot but I also have a Queen Country Cousin soddie, with a D2 blade and as you said a very, yellow handle. Wish they made it in a large size.
