yellow fever

Chickenplucker, I forgot but I also have a Queen Country Cousin soddie, with a D2 blade and as you said a very, yellow handle. Wish they made it in a large size.

John, the large Moore Maker Sodbuster in yellow delrin is made by Queen. (Mine is a 2006 vintage.)

I had thought it was a Camillus product but was put straight during a telephone conversation with Moore Maker the other day.

Anyway, that's one way of getting a large Queen sodbuster though it's 1095, not D2. I have one and like mine a lot.

Now I have really done it...

I was fanning the blades on my new yellow Case Peanut to take a pic and yep...sliced a finger open. First time I have done that in ages. I know better than to open the first blade to half and the try to open the second...I know better!

I took the time to clean the blood from the knife first, should have applied the tourniquet immediately. I can feel the yellow fever spreading rapidly, the urge to buy knives is quickly becoming overwhelming. I applied several shots of Wild Turkey Rare Breed (taken internally) with no results. My resolve is fading fast....so many yellow knifes out there looking for homes...

Look at all the pretty knives...

calling Visa....wondering just how high a credit limit I can get....

Come on Absintheur, manup, clean up the blood wipe off the knife and take that picture. We need to see if the knife is okay!!!

The knife is fine...besides ya'll told me I needed to let a CV gain a patina...what better than blood?

My finger however is sore, the cut goes right across the top of a knuckle which means everytime I flex that finger it opens back up. The yellow fever has completely taken over my body now, only through an extreme act of will have i kept from ordering a dozen yellow knives. My skin is nicely jaundiced as are my eyes, the bidding fever is upon me and I was forced to close my ebay account before I spent the entire portfolio.

Woke up in sweat induced delirium from yellow fever and inexplicably found myself taking 80 grit sandpaper to the kick of my 3318's sheepfoot blade!

Fortunately, I like the way the sheepfoot rides lower in the trough now. I don't know if mine was inordinately high (it may well have been) but now it looks a lot sleeker to my fever jaundiced eye. ;)

(I stopped when I could just feel the difference in the alignment of the springs and liners in the closed position.)

I've heard that filing a kick in time saves nine. Gosh knows when you're in a yellow fever delirium, one should save all the nines one can. It's always a kick to have your blade be a lowrider. :D  ;)

I'm doing my part...(yellow of course...)

Blues...

I mean you are a mod and all, and not sure how to inform you, but that ain't a toenail knife, even if it is yeller!

You can take that to the bank...*groan*

Thanks for setting me straight, SM. Somehow, I must've lost the peanut trail. Next time I'll stay close to the yellow brick road. :p ;)

(Duckin' and runnin'...:D)

Yellow...
It is said this handle color assists one in not losing a knife.

So I am sharing with a kid some "life stuff" about knives, yellow handles and all...
Did you know, if a brat drops your Peanut in that b-i-g size jar of yellow mustard...

"But you said nothing is abso...absolu [ absolute?] yeah that!"

Big jar was pretty much empty, and we had made Mustard 'Tater Salad.

Lessons were about keeping up with stuff, being responsible and not relying on handle colors or anything else in life to do something - not take it for granted.

Just one of the kids of some of the folks I run with and I am the adopted uncle.
Kiddo has "yeller stuff". Peanut, SAK classic, and even Yeller tennis shoes.
*snicker*
The proper way to do these tennis shoes is to wear one yellow one and one blue/green/ red one.

Boy was her mom happy I shared that !
So we have a mom and daughter with mix matched tennis shoes around the house, the property and with the rest of the bunch.

We have our yellow knives and it is pretty easy to tell which kid belongs to which mom.
<taps head> smart huh!

*yellow grin*

Here ya go, JK, in your fav-o-rite color...

Now Those Are nice! Thanks for the Picts! Why are they ALL in the safe? Doesn't at least one fit in your pocket? :D

Thanks Kent. Actually these will all fit in pocket very well, and have.
I just got in the habit of keeping most of the knives in the safe, less stuff floating around in drawers. Makes it easier for me to remember where evrything is at too... I have to say the Copperhead is one of my favorites.
Just don't see the yellow ones to often anymore. It fits my hands great, has great snap and excellent half stops too.
The Camillus I bought at the Eugene, Or show a few years ago. Got the same knife in red also. I bought them from the Camillus rep(can't remember his name now), great guy, must have talked to him for at least an hour.
