Yeah they are. I got two, and they are very nice. I see why people who have the Kleen Kanteens still want the Nalgeens..lol

I need a good folder, any suggestions.
$75 range or so.

Spyderco Manix2.

You didn't say what style, how big or what for, but that's my go-to recommendation for a quality folder under $100. If I could have only one, it would suffice. Fortunately I don't have that problem. But I still have 2 of them...

Hey Trade, I've abandoned the fruit beer for the evening. Tonight it's Sam Adams Maple Pecan Porter. Guyon needs to get his nuts in Sam Adams.

I like the Manix 2 A LOT. but i like the g10 S30V versions and they run a little more than 75 when and where i have seen them.

I want one of the 2014 FFG versions. That would be pretty close to perfection there.

Snark = television reviews :D

So i never watched NCIS-LA or Criminal Minds.

But i want to pick one to start..... Both have quite a few seasons to keep me busy for a while, but which one to start???

Any fans of BOTH that can pick one as being better? Why?

Is one funnier that the other?? does one have better character development and relations? A lot of times in crime/cop shops the cases get boring at some point and what keeps the show interesting IMO is the comedy or the history and relations of the characters. I like 1 liners and quick puns, even if the plot gets cold they can keep me smiling until the action picks back up.

Whats your opinion?

Disclaimer: I don't have cable, just the basic network stuff, so I have no experience with the HBO shows and such. But we've been watching CBS pretty much exclusively for 8 or 10 years now.
My wife watches both pretty religiously. NCIS LA is definitely funnier, and a lot more fun, but tends to be a lot "thinner." I thought the original NCIS was quite a bit better, but I generally enjoy LA as a nice diversion from my day.

Criminal Minds doesn't have a lot of funny in it. There is some humor, sure. But it's a much more serious show. The occasional episode makes me scratch my head "Wha???" But the better ones are some of the best written stuff on TV, in my opinion. And the scenarios they come up with - damn. It affects me more than pretty much anything else on TV. It usually feels more like a short movie than an hourlong episode. Sometimes I just can't watch it because of the way it sucks me in, and can be rather disturbing.
At first I didn't like it when Mandy Patinkin left and they brought in Joe Mantegna. But he's not that bad, and the rest of the cast and writing often make me forget about him.

So, just my 2 cents - if you're looking for a fun little diversion, NCIS-LA is not a bad way to spend an hour. If you're looking for deep drama and actual story-telling and the occasional disturbing theme or thought-provoking idea - go for Criminal Minds.

Thanks TJ, I think i will just watch both now HAHA

The way you described criminal minds makes me want to watch it, but i also like fun :) SO i guess i will start with episode 1 of both and alternate each show

Thanks bud for taking the time to share your opinions on them!!

I don't think it really matters, because frankly I can't tell 'em apart. If I were somehow forced to watch any of the current cop/CSI/NCS/SUV/STD shows... I'd pick whichever one has this chick in it:

No firsthand experience Jerry, but a few friends of mine like them. My buddy carries the pack you're referring to daily and he loves it.

Thank you, Murph. I think it is on the list now. The one I was looking at was their light weight litelock material in brown, but I think I'd rather go for the regular nylon now that I've looked a few up.... that and my trade offer was politely declined. :D

All I know is that my Jeep has a Kryptec Typhoon paint job on its hood.... Finally, a name for how my black Jeep's hood looks with the peeling clear coat.

Maple Pecan Porter. Wow. Sounds like it would go down smooth after a tough zumba class.

Oh. My. Word. Maple. Pecan. Porter. Words fail me so perhaps just a sound will do. Gaaah!!!

Maple and pecan should never be used in conjunction with beer.... Unless you are using beer and pecans in your waffle batter, then covered in maple syrup and bacon... Then, and only then, would it be acceptable! ;)
