You have $800, what folder do you get with it?

Another Seamus, this time a flipper in Stellite 6k.

Another R&H Tasca 2 but in non Damascus.

In that I carry and use my knives, I would get something with more scratch resistant handles than titanium.

I would get the Inkosi Insingo, the Magnacut Native 5 and the Pioneer X. If there is any money left, the Condor Mini Duku or Bushcraft Parang, for an instant knife collection.

I would take a survey of several custom slip joint makers and ask something like what the absolute coolest best knife is you can make for $800 including shipping and insurance. The winner would get my money.

Something Damascus because I don’t have much in the collection. Not exactly sure what I would buy..still on the hunt.

Pumpkin preferred.

I'd buy two "previously owned" but "like new" folders w/an MSRP value of $500-700 for $400 each (+/- $50) w/the $800, as I have in the past.

A few examples of such purchases in my collection are the:

Strider SNG 8 Line
Arno Bernard plain iMamba
Hinderer X-18 3.5 Recurve Flipper & all Ti Auto
Shirogorov Ursus Quantum
Tom Krein Shard
And 3 Olamics - the Rainmaker, Swish & Wayfarer 247.

I've spent $600-900 for a couple of knives that I wanted to add to my collection but I still haven't paid more than $1k for any knife.

Otherwise, my limit is normally "only" $500 but, as noted above, there A LOT of more expensive knives that I've purchased for less than that.

Andre de Villiers 3.1" Impi Lockback, LSCF, copper inlays.

Emerson Mini A-100, and the remaining $200 or so gets invested at an acceptable interest rate, until it accrues enough for me to afford a Heretic Wraith V3.

Wait. You want just one folder, for that price? I would commission Andrew Demko to make the biggest, thickest-bladed-est custom that would fit inside the budget.
