That hardly seemed like the time to correct someone's grammar man. I know it was a stupid mistake and I told plenty of dumb lies when I was a young teenager (mostly about how many boobs I had touched), it's just part of growing up so I'm fine with you sticking around.

But a serious tip, when you did something bad and are asking for forgiveness and someone says 'your' good with them, just keep your head down and say thanks, don't correct them. Kind of a lame thing to do in that situation.

I was trying to lighten the mood, and be a grammer nazi at the same time.
 
You did the right thing, I have a 14 year old son myself and yes he makes mistakes also. It was a huge step coming clean with everyone and that is the first step to becoming a man. Just be yourself, hell you will be our age soon enough, don't rush it.

Perhaps you were thinking of me? I'm 15, have a very well used, modded and loved BK2, and some "others" (7, 9, 11, 14 x2). Plus I live in Canada! However I have never ever tried to pass myself off as being older than I am. I am always up front about my age.

As for MrKnifeKid, I say a fight to the death with the Black Knight is in order!

Just kidding. I'm good with him keeping his number. He came forward with what he had done, and tried his best to make it right. I don't see anything more someone could do in his situation. :thumbup:
 
holy crap Becker folks are good people. im proud to be an active member of this sub-forum, this would have been a bashfest on some of the gun forums im on

I think you're doing the right thing by making a public apology.
Especially to the member's that you've had dealings with.

Now...In my opinion, what you did was deceiving and dishonest. I'm sure you knew it then as you know it know.
I'm surprised it took you a whole year to come clean.
A whole year is a long time to keep up such a ridiculous ruse.

I can only hope you will take this as a life lesson.
You've done the hard part of admitting your mistake, but it may take time before all members can fully trust you again.
Character isn't born in a man, it's made, in situations such as these.
I'm sure this was not an easy thing for you to do, yet you did it. The right choices in life can be extremely difficult sometimes.
I'm sure you know all of this already. I just thought it needed to be said.

You've been a big part of this forum at times and I hope that doesn't change.
So that's my feelings on the matter.
If I came off a bit harsh, it wasn't my intent.
I just hope everyone is willing to give you a fresh start. IMO you deserve it.

Takes a bunch of guts to own up to your mistakes, and especially when nobody was pressuring you to do so.
I see no reason to remove his number, and I think that his living with this for as long as he has would be punishment enough.

I wish that lying about myself on an internet forum was the worst thing I was getting up to at age 14. But everyone is right, takes cohones to stand up and admit that you've been putting one over on someone, especially if you do it when you don't have to.

The ink still isn't dry on my BH# yet, but for what it is worth I say you should keep yours.
 
have to say this is a top class forum, reading the replies here you can tell this is a good group of guys, other forums I know of would not have been so kind.
 
I am not by any means trying to shrink you... yet i must implore... if you know within yourself that you are not some one who enjoys desensitizing themselves with xbox and pot. Then maybe you should ask yourself why you needed to create a bogus you... I am sure the members you created the relationship with will not loose any sleep over this. Its more important that you recognize that you should always represent you. not all of us are honest all of the time.

In a previous post you used the word "to" instead of "too", which was the correct form.

This is a pretty mild lie, to be honest. When I was 14, lying over the internet was pretty much a daily occurrence.
