What the..? The "ten characters" was added because of this board's rule that a post has to be at least 10 characters long.

I don't have it yet, so I dunno. But due to its narrow profile it's not much heavier than other small EDC fixed blades.

... bend that short, thick piece of hardened steel to its fracture poin though.

My main concern would be fractures by impact weakening the blade and of course there is always the issue of a possible steel flaw.

Not likely as Jürgen is a certified master craftsman and knows who to order from.

All that really matter is that you are happy with it, congratulations on the new knife, use it in good health!!!

Even the best steels get hit with a bad piece, I have seen several example sof it myself on high end custom knives where the makers confirmed that the premature failure was due to a steel flaw.

I severely doubt you could find any custom makers who would publically state it was not possible that their knives could have a steel flaw, this is in fact usually expressly stated in the warrenty (materials/manufacturing defects).

It isn't a major concern in most knives, as there is nothing you can do about it, but in heavy knives like this, if it was present it would present a much great user danger than if the knife was made out of differentially tempered 5160 for example.

Sorry for the late reply, Luckylefty. Jürgen's two pictures I posted here are the only ones I currently have.

wow, whats going up here :---)))
when theres some interest at the prybar - please mail me. i look to made some pictures of em..

on the second picture you posted, does the handle material seem weak where it follows the guard around? I was thinking of a design somewhat similar, but thought that small strip of handle material might break off.

wow, that thing is sweet... I think you should throw it at something and tell us how well it does.... :D

My word of advice: don't drop it on your foot, tip up OR down!

I'm not so impressed. When you get one that is a full inch thick with a 3" wide blade and full flat grind from spine to edge, THEN you'll have something to brag about! :D

Cool knife! Have you actually used it much? I can't imagine how that thing must feel to use!

I too have a Titanium crow bar. I keep it my truck. But, I STILL LOVE that sharpened pry bar!
