You think that your Striders or Busses are prybars? Check this out.

Except for the  thickness  (or shall we call it "sickness"?) , I really love the lines on this knife. It's a beautiful simple design.

Good looking knife but after a second or two when I saw the second photo too "what the @#&%)$" was what gone through my mind.

I am not sure, but you need to watch your language around here. Gus

Here is a link to my pry knife. I'll bet it beats yours, heh heh! It is titanium!!

AFAIK titanium is not an optimal choice for a prybar (even less so than D2 ;) ).

Sir, slick photo aside . that looks like quite a knife . As in most specialised tools it does have its drawbacks . If you wanted a tool to open a door and still be able to function inside that door you may have the answer . It seems a very basic yet well thought out design . Is it just my perspective or is it single beveled ?
There is one glaring aspect of this knife that is a drawback . Its not mine !

Will you make me a folder like that?
I'm not a knife expert, by any means, however, I would think that if this design were made into a folder it would lose it's raison d'etre, that is, the ability to be used as a prybar as well as a knife. Folders as prybars would be more/most likely to break at the hinge, than in the steel itself, which, I believe, is the strength of having this design as a fixed blade.

I'm only replying because you haven't received any replies to your question, despite having asked twice.

Great looking design, Quiet Storm!

Wasn't there a WWI trench knife that had a triangular cross-section, created so that stab wounds would have difficulty healing? That's what your combination knife and prybar got me thinking about.

Yeah, that would be the OSS "Delta Dart". Cold Steel offers a Zytel version of that knife. By the way, Jürgen makes a beautifully crafted steel version of this weapon.
It was one of the inspirations for this design.

@ fulloflead,
a folder??? -a folder !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

please send me a mail and we talk about :D :D thats something i think it makes me fun :D :D
framelock ?

QS, tried to send you a PM but it seems your not accepting them.

I like your idea, great to see people thinking outside the box. Ignore the critics, I think it has great potential, I'm tempted to contact that maker and get something similar with a few personal modifications of my own.

Sorry to steal your idea but it's a good one! :)

I cannot accept them because I'm not a paying member.

Thanks. As long as you change a few design features (like the handle material and/or blade length) I don't mind at all. It's a one of a kind, and I'd want it to stay that way.

Also, if anyone wants a knife like this, please contact Jürgen and don't ask another knifemaker to make it for you.

Please respect these two requirements.

Absolutely no problem and I agree with you.

If I were to get one I'd probably do a couple of things like make the handle more rounded and I'd probably want some kind of small guard. There are a couple of other things but I'll keep that to myself, I want a one-of-a-kind too! :)

I didn't want to lose the straight, clean lines on this knife.

Add wet hands and you could have straight lines across the nubs of finger stubs.

If I want to stab something with it, I'll do it in reverse grip, thumb-capping the pommel.
