Young knife collectors/users - deux

So what's everyone been doing today knife-wise? I just spent a little while cleaning rust off of my brand new Texas Jack, the TSA decided it would be really funny if they poured Windex all over my luggage. Got all of the rust off, but the CV blades now have some deep staining that won't come out. Oh well. So much for the gorgeous mirror polish it had!

I also can't get the grittiness out of it, so I put it away and now I'm carrying my GEC #85 in ebony, and my 0200 in the back pocket. 85 is in the front.
 
Finally got my LBS in the mail :D I had to use a different screw because the one that came with it hit the blade :( I found one that was a bit shorter but it was still really long so I shortened it, now I have to watch it for rust :rolleyes:

 
Hey SBK, I see you have a JK knife, I've been very interested in the maker and enjoy reading his forum. I've also been curious as to the quality of the blades. What do you think of it?

It's pretty nice. I got it last autumn, but never really carried it much. The handle is nice and round, and the blade is sharp. The grind is even, but a little too obtuse for my tastes.

Thanks for the reply! I'm not a fan of that blade but I was just looking for some opinions. The Kentucky Fieldmate looks great. If I ever get around to knife making........
 
Cool, I'm saving my penny's for a James Terrio sidekick! I've meet JT and he's been very helpful. He's also very knowledgeable about almost every aspect of knife making.

Here is the newest arrival, a Spyderco Blackhawk. The seller didn't know what it was, and I got it for a pretty good deal.

Yes, that's a real 51. I just stripped the liners and made my own aluminum trainer blade.

I just got done ordering motorcycle parts. A little over $1000.
It will be nice to have a restored bike, but think of the knife I could have got!!!
 
Bump + Carrying BM Griptilian and ESEE 4 DT today. Been wanting more ESEE's lately. But I have to save for parts for my truck and some Snap-on ratchets (for those who don't know Snap-on is like the CRK/Busse of tools) but I might be able to pick up some new stuff at the end of the summer. I can drool over other peoples knives till then lol

Agreed. Not being able to post pictures from mobile confuses me.
