Young knife collectors/users - deux

Been carrying the Hogue recently. I'm pretty pleasantly surprised by the quality.
 
Haven't checked in here in a while. Just went to cabelas today. In the bargain cave, for $65 was a returned mini-barrage with a tight action and a very small chip.



It had to be mine. A quick trip to BM and I should have a brand spanking new mini-barrage for $65.

I just traded for a ESEE 4, it came stripped and with the nicest convex edge I've ever seen....

Nice ESEE. I've been wanting one or a Becker for a while.


I love the Manix XL. It's sturdy, smooth, and fits my hand like it was custom formed.

Beckers have much more comfortable handles, but Rowen Mfg has much better QC than Ka-Bar, and a better warranty. The reason I bought the Esee was because I severely bent my bk16, and I wanted something tougher, but I didn't want to go as big as a bk2!

I'm going to the TN Beckerhead gathering, for the first time! Does anyone know what happened to Spydercobenchmadekai? He hasn't been around much lately....
 
Hi every one I was just wondering if anyone is going to the NCCA extravaganza knife show in Mystic Connecticut, on May 3rd and 4th.

I also wanted to let every one know that if you are ever in the Frederick Maryland area I highly suggest stopping by Edgeworks. They have an amazing selection of blades like Chris Reeve, Benchmade, Spyderco, Case, Kabar, Esse, Brous blades, William Henery, Boker, Kershaw, ZT, and Lion steel, the list goes on and on.:D
 
I got back from the Beckerhead gathering!! It was a blast!

Anyway, Ethan gave me a BK16 and KA-BAR sent a very large care package, and I came home with a BK4 from that. Trailbum also made some kydex sheaths to give away, and I got a sheath for my 4 and 14.

Matt Tackett was there and I snagged a custom scandi of his. 1095, jade green G-10..... awesome blade.....

Anybody else pick up anything exiting???

Where are the pics, especially of that scandi???


As for recent pickups, I'm receiving a large orange Spyderco on Wednesday.... I'll show what it is when I get it.... And then buying another knife soon after that. Hints for the second one are Ti framelock, and has a long history of horrible lock rock. It's name is also a n abbreviation.

Been a while since this was posted on, just got around to reading it from a few weeks ago when Mountainmist linked me to it.

I'm 14 (turning 15 in February) and I like Beckers, the smaller ESEE knives, and just about any folder that looks decent. Can't post any pictures right now but I might get around to taking a group picture of my knives soon. :thumbup:
 
Throwback! Welcome, Noswad.

It's weird how much has changed..... I don't have any if the knives pictured above anymore. Getting my first custom soon too, a Pohan Leu Hamachi built to my specs!
