Speaking of young users, whatever happened to spydercobenchmadekai, anyone remember him? Dude was always talking about visiting Spyderco's facility because he lived right there in Golden, CO? The guy just up and vanished one day.
Well I guess I will contribute.
I am 17 and have used and had knives since I was about 6. However, I did not really start collecting until about 6 months ago. So here is my
collection so far (excluding lots of cheaper knives):

Thanks so much bladeforums for your support and great info!
I am 19 and started off with cheaper knives such as CKRT's and a couple cheap Gerbers and such. 2 years ago i picked up a Benchmade 580 Barrage and have carried that a lot. My girlfriend recently got me a Kershaw Knockout which i really like and then i got myself a Benchmade 940 which come this summer will have either G10 or Micarta scales. i haven't decided which yet. Someday after college I will splurge even more but these work for me for now.
I've been looking at the Knockout. How does it feel in hand and does the blade:handle ratio work well? I like how deep the belly looks on it.
I really like it. It rides nice in the pocket and the blade is a nice length to the handle. Only complaint I have is that its assisted opening but I have my 940 to flip around so it's alright. The 940 is kinda my edc the knockout is more of my hard use folder for when I'm in the shop.
Have at it gents...

How do you kids come up with the cash for these knives? I work full time and bring home 5 figures a year and I still struggle getting nice production knives
I work a lot in the summer and save up for my schooling but also put some aside for toys. I am every lucky that my grandparents and parents made good decisions in saving and investing for my schooling so I don't have pay the full amount each semester even though I still need to put a few grand down each semester. Over the summer I frequently work 40-50 hour weeks many times it does get upward of 60 hours a week. This being said I am very fortunate but I also work for my things and schooling. It also helps that I still live at home and don't have rent to worry about.
You could have just said this. LOL
