Young knife collectors/users - deux

don't doooo it!!!!! :d

I think this ones worth it. Probably won't be another 6 months maybe even a year before it'll happen. Just got stock up before that. Thinking my next knife this summer will probably be a 3 inch fixed blade. Any suggestions main looking at the izula 2.

Check out the Eskabar. Might be my favorite fixed right now just because it's getting more use than my BK9.

Saw that one too. I was also looking at the TOPS Baja 3.0. I wear a pair of ariat boots daily and I wanna probably carry it in my boot. Any other recommendations

That looks nice, I don't have any TOPS knives so I can't speak for them, but I always thought they were pretty cool.

How do you kids come up with the cash for these knives? I work full time and bring home 5 figures a year and I still struggle getting nice production knives

Basically what cbking said. I work for my parents some times, I get an alowence pretty often, occasionally I'll be able to help some of my parents friends for some $$$. Recently I've been trading/selling and adding a little bit of cash to get new knives. . .The whole not having to for food or rent really does wonders, haha.

I mow a yard every week or so in the Summer, and get some Christmas and birthday money in the winter. Plus my Christmas list is usually about 50% knives. :D

And no rent/bills/food/payments of any kind. :p

So, this thread is really old, but it was a lot of fun when active. What better reason to revive it than Bladeshow! Who is going this year? I'll be there if I can drag at least one other person with me.

So drag me along, and pay, and I'm in! Lol, I wish, but I do lawn care, so we are swamped this time of year, and saving for college... Boring, but necessary... Hope you find someone!

Well heck, now that there's a part two, I have no excuse to not contribute.

My name's Nick, I'm 16. I've got a passion for knives, but don't have the income to match :p

Don't feel bad, my name's Sam, I'm 35, and i too have a passion for knives but don't have the income to match. ;)

I wish I was.. But Atlanta is too far, and I'll be busy Sunday.

looking through this thread almost 2 years later kinda feels like an old haunted house that everyone died in. where'd everyone go? sbk disappeared and it all died off after that

I still check in every now and then. Knives kinda got put on the back burner lately cause I'm getting ready for college and all that good stuff. Having my drivers license now my first and foremost love of cars has taken over again as well. I think my first post in here I was 16 and I had gotten my first Benchmade. Four more Benchmades and a few weeks from being 18, I'm starting to realize how much time flies.

I might be going to trade school. Dunno how I'll be able to do that and keep the roof over my head at the same time, but I need a better job if I'm going to keep buying knives or really do anything with my life at all, especially with the Canadian economy on the downward spiral it's been going on. Can't rely on Mommy and Daddy's wealth like some of my generation. I'm going to keep going with this hobby, though. Everyone needs something to make them happy. Sharp things make me happy.

Hello I'm nick I'm 16 and regret buying a $60 delica because I'll need a new one in six months weather it be a delica or cheap Kershaw things don't last. I do wish to collect more if only I had budget for that and my three other hobbies

Out of curiosity, what would lead you to think a delica wouldn't last six months? They're great knives, I'd be suprised if it only lasted you that long!!!
