I like guns, I don't have any personally but my dad has quite a few. Also mountainmist, is that the rush 12? If so how do you like it?

Nice, I have an Adidas bag for outdoor use right now and its alright but its really big. I think I might just ask for this for Christmas. either that or an Esee four.

I don't think that Santa approves of knives and other interesting things :D;). Seriously though, I don't like the looks or feel of the ESEE, I hate choils and the handles are uncomfortable in my experience, the becker bk16 on the other hand......

The rush 12 is a small back pack, perfect for over-nighters that don't include sleeping bags and tents. Immaculate quality.

20 here, and been carrying a knife on me everywhere but school every day since I was about 6. Boy Scouts helped with that. 13 and already made eagle eh? That's pretty impressive.

As for my preferences, I EDC a ZT 0550BLK and an ESEE Candiru. I've got a good chunk of the ESEE lineup and the biggest knife I own is the Junglas.

Collection...missing a ZT 0566, and I shipped a mini onslaught off to CJZ this morning. :)

Yeah, I'm younger than most Eagles, but once an Eagle, always an Eagle, so I guess I just get to enjoy it longer! :) I'm thinking of asking for an ESEE 6 for Christmas--with TKC blue/black G10 handles. What do you think of the 6?

Mines off for work...warranty work unfortunately haha. Should be back in my hands any day now, I'll be happy to get it back in the pocket!

What happened with it again? I'm certain you told me but it went in one ear and right out the other. :o

Oh definitely. Still the best thing I ever saw through to the end.

As for the 6, I like the way it feels. Good balance and slices pretty well for its size. I'm sure the TKC scales will do wonders for the ergos, but I've never handled them on a 6. What niche are you trying to fill with it?

Give him a hit, cant hurt.

One of the gun forums i'm on has a sub forum for younger hobbyist.

I like to read these threads because i never forget when i started out.

Only difference is that theres killer low cost productions now.

you do? I have handled the ESEE 6 and found it Very blocky for my small hands. what size hands do you have?

Typically a medium glove. Not huge. But the choil helps immensely imo. Still, I'd love to try some TKC scales for it. But my heart is set on an izzy with TKC scales first.

haha well maybe that's part of it then. I actually really like them. Never realized it until I instinctively grabbed my manix 2 by the choil the first time I opened it.

I like choils on folders but not fixed blades. Just a mater of preference.
