Keep up the great replies - anyone have photos?

What sort of trends have you followed, or are important to you in your selection. I know I have gone from 3.5+ inch lengths to 3.5 or shorter because of my state laws...

eh, laws were made to be broken!

i'd go with the odds that i won't get searched anytime soon.

Strider SNG and a Sebenza...why? Because I deserve the best! :p That and the Sebenza is sheeple friendly and the Strider aint!

Work EDC;

FRN Spyderco Endura CE and a Buck 110 for work because IMO, these two were designed with one intent and one only.....to be serious workhorses that are dependable and always there when you need them. To this day, they've never let me down.

Non-Work EDC;

My Spyderco Military CE rides in a custom horizontal sheath by Vess, while my SS Cricket SE rides in my R/F pocket. My Military was designed as a "'survival,’ ‘camp,’ ‘all-around’ knife that can perform any task in the field, from cutting branches and small trees, field dressing animals, to personal survival." For these reasons, I don't go anywhere without my Millie. ;) The reasons that I love to carry my SS Cricket are; integral frame linerlock, solid SS scale open construction, and most importantly, the VG10 steel.

Ed Fowler Long Yearling or Fawn (just got it) on the side.
Busse Assault Shaker around my neck
BM520 (in very near future) in my pocket.

Reason why ?

I trust them all.

what size sebenza do you have bruz? i'm thinking of buying an all black sng and selling my small regular sebbie. i think i just opened that can of worms again :D

On duty I carry a SOG Multi Tool in the squad. I like the way the pliars can angle.
I have a Civilian in my left sap pocket and lately I have been wearing a BM Auto Axis 5000 on my belt. I also like the MT SOCOM D/A and the L-UDT. However, liner locks are not ambidexterous. I do not carry them anymore. Plus, I own quite a few. I should get rid of them. I consider that a fault, having been wounded and losing right hand function for a time.
The plunger lock is fine and I know of no failures.
The AFO without the safety is a good choice. The AF Auto never came without a safety, and it will engage enough in normal carry to prevent opening unless you remember to push it off.

mine right now is a emerson spec-war custom CQC8 w/a zero bevel grind blade, is my fav cuz:

*love the handle/blade shape of the CQC8's, had a production and liked it a lot

*the zero bevel has to be seen to be believed, nothing is sharper

*not everybody carries a custom emerson, they can be pricey

Got a large one torment! :p Maybe it's an ego thing but I always go for the biggest. SNG is a fine knife as well, I think you need both. ;)

I recently bought a CRK Mnandi, and it has instantly become my most frequently carried knife. Why? Because it's classy and office - friendly.

Plus, it cuts like crazy.

My main EDC is a Victorinox Settler. With both large and small blades it handles most anything I encounter in the course of a day. I like the alox handles, fit, finish, walk and talk, and it slices great. It carries extremely flat in the pocket.

Sometimes it is replaced or carried with one of my small Sebenzas or Umfaan. The next addition to the line up will be a Mnandi.

Lately, I've been carrying my Buck Creek Whittler a lot, almost exclusively. For a cheap knife, it cuts very well and the carbon steel gets very sharp and holds it's edge as well as any premium stainless I've used.

I did carry my Hubertus leverlock for a couple days last week, but went back to the BC Whittler just because it felt right.

At work, a Leatherman Supertool in a nylon belt sheath with a Mini-Mag light. Spyderco S30V native in rf pocket. I picked up the Spydie a couple weeks ago because some jerk ripped off my BM Ascent II. That was probably my all time favorite knife so far.
Non work, just the Spydie.

Lately my casual EDC has been my Scott Cook Lochsa. Why? It's the first left hand one he ever made. I like it a lot. I think that it is the sharpest knife I've got. To me it's an upgraded Sebenza and I really like Sebenzas. Scott Cook does awesome work.

My disposable knife is a large plain sebenza. Why? Because it's replaceable. I carry it in situations where losing it is a possibility. It's not cheap but it can be replaced relatively quickly.

My at work my EDC is a left hand Tom Mayo baby hawk. Why? Because it's great for picking away and cutting bandages and tape from my patient's arms and faces.

Honorable mention needs to go to my large Sebenza modified by Tom Mayo. Abolutely a beautiful knife. I sent it back to CRK to get gold thumblugs and a decorated backspacer. I love it but it's a drawer queen for now.

I have many more but these are currently at the top of my list. :D  ;) :p

Strider AR: It'll take anything I throw at it and keep on going.

Large leather inlay Sebenza: Because the AR scares the sheeple.

C'mon, Scott, we're waiting for a Lochsa review. Post your impressions! (insert "pretty please" smilie)

Lately it's been a Kershaw Blur. Black with a plain edge. Very nice size and very thin plus it has the speed safe action. My only gripe is the thumb studs are a little sharp.I also carry a Leatherman Micra and a Surefire E2e.
