Your Favorite Emerson Model

My Fave would be the 19Eleven or the CQC-45. I have always loved the handles of the Specwar and the CQC-11 but wanted something in between the 2 sizes with a little more handle at the butt end for my pinky finger to wrap around. For the blade, always like the one on the CQC-12HD best till I discovered the ECA 19Eleven. Now I have my CQC-45 Holy Grail knife with a pocketclip from a awesome friend! Lunch Time!

Mini commander! But I do like the look of the zealot, I'll have to pick one of those up at some point.

greetings all,
easy choice. my mach1 from 2000. cqc-7a as a close runner up. best regards. mike

Both Sevens? One has Standoff? The other a Backspaces?

Bottom Knife has more screw heads.

The top knife is a full titanium framelock style handle. I want to say it was a CQC-7B that had the handle converted to resemble the HD7's handle silhouette. I would venture a guess and say the top one is a backspacer model.

one of my favorite emersons is the CQC14. it doesnt seem to get munch mention, and even though i prefer larger knives the cqc14 is one of the best feeling knives ive held. its all i want to carry lately. the full size handle with the short blade actually works great as an EDC.

If I had a Super SOCFK, it'd be my favorite. But I don't, so here's just my regular SOCFK-B. The CQC-11 is a close second, but I no longer have one, unfortunately.

(I'd really like a stonewashed SOCFK-A though)

Around my property or, no legal restrictions? Super Commander

At work? Journeyman

In public? Sheeple-friendly 7AW

For years, it's been the first Emerson I ever bought... a mini-CQC15. Then I bought a mini-Commander from someone on BF. She's starting to grow on me and she may take over the #1 spot.

I can't decide between the commander, vindicator, or cqc-15. I don't want to buy them all, well I do but I've spent enough on knives recently. Anyone have any pics comparing or opinions?

Mine are both minis (15 & Commander), but I suspect the full-sized models are going to be about the same for comparison's sake. I like the feel of both handles. I find the blade profile of the 15 series to be more useful for me on a day-to-day basis for the inds of piercing / cutting I need to do. I also like the less severe recurve of the 15s. I really love that mini-Commander, but I've got to say, after carrying both of them at work this week, the mini-15 is just everything that a "daily use for whatever comes by" knife ought to be for my needs. I think it's as perfect an everyday Emerson knife as the Para 2 is a perfect everyday Spyderco knife, for my taste anyway.

And my mini-15 actually came as a near-perfect match-up to my Sharpmaker at 40 deg for the beveled side and 30 deg on the non-beveled side. I can actually sharpen it back up by using just the SM. That's the only Emerson I have that I can do that with, but it was a pleasant surprise. I still do mostly freehand sharpening on the 15,but it's nice to have the option of a quick & easy touchup on the SM.
