Well.
I like my ESEE Izula for it's fixed blade simplicity and comfortable carry size. It hits that sweet spot between too small to take seriously, and too big for EDC.
I have an Emerson CQC-7, mostly because I had some bonus money from work burning a hole in my pocket. On paper, it's nothing special. But all the parts are there for a reason, and the assembled knife is more than the sum of them.
Kizer's team-up with Ray Laconico was a master stroke, and may have earned them as much as %70 of the total respect they now have. I bought a Gemini because I've been a fanboi of Ray's for years, but knew I would never be able to touch a Jasmine, and would be far too afraid to use it properly!
Cold Steel, because, Andrew Demko. I don't really care about Lynn Thompson, just keep making that Triad Lock.
Now, having said that, the size has to be right. 3" blade is right for me, and more than 3.5" is just awkward.
TOPS Knives. I own a Lil' Roughneck, and I carry it when I think I might need an EDC splitting maul.
Columbia River Knife And Tool. My favorite guilty knife pleasure, and the company I keep coming back to. They were my gateway to "more expensive" knives ($20 Mtechs to an $80 Lightfoot M1 is a big jump!), and I keep coming back to them.
Right now I'm giving a CRKT large Batum a ride in my pocket on the weekends, and I like the substantial feel of it. It is neither light, nor small in the pocket, and it's size and weight give me the confidence to push it much harder than I would most other framelocks.
